I already played the best version of Surekha: Shilpa Raizada on turning down ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’

Star Plus show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The current track of the show revolves around Manjiri announcing Abhimanyu and Aarohi’s wedding. This has created ruckus in both the families as Kairav is against the decision as he feels Abhimanyu is incompetent to fulfill promises. Akshara supports the decision and convinces everyone for the wedding. Meanwhile Abhir forces Akshara and Abhinav to stay back to Udaipur for Abhi-Aarohi’s engagement but they deny.

As per the recent promo, Abhir falls sick and gets admitted to Birla hospital. Akshara informs the same to Abhimanyu and he rushes to see Abhir but she stops him. Well, the show will soon witness the re-entry of the character of Surekha Goenka who happens to be Akhilesh Goenka’s wife. The role was earlier played by actress Shilpa Raizada. However, post leap actress Sai Barve will be seen stepping into the shoes of Shilpa as Surekha.

India Forums got in touch with Shilpa to know about the same, she said, “Well, I was approached for the show but I had to put down the offer as I’ve played the character for five long years. I believe, I played the best version of Surekha already”.

‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is produced by Rajan Shahi under his banner Directors’ Kut Production. The show has an interesting ensemble cast including actors like Harshad Chopda, Pranali Rathod, Sachin Tyagi, Karishma Sawant among others.
