Here's why Twinkle REFUSED to write for a film on Dad Rajesh or Akshay

The actress turned author was asked to write a biopic on either of them and here's what she said.

Donning the Producer's hat for the first time, Twinkle Khanna has started her production journey on a remarkable note with a successful film like Pad Man. This movie about menstrual hygiene apart from being a commercial film is a revolution, a change in the mindset of the people.

Khanna knows that she has picked a great story and sure is glad to venture into producing films with a film like Pad Man. Recently Twinkle was present at a conference with filmmaker R. Balki where the two spoke about the success of their film.

Twinkle is a multi-talented woman, who apart from being an actress is an established author and now a producer. Amidst the interactions at the event, when asked Twinkle if given a chance will she write for a film which happens to be a biopic on her father Rajesh Khanna or he husband Akshay Kumar? To which she instantly replied, "NO".

Further, when we asked her for the reason behind this, she expressed, "I am interested in stories which have layers to it; those that have a larger ramification than just somebody's life. I mean, it's great for somebody to write a story about one person's life, but for me, there have to be layers. The story has to have a message. And that's what I believe in".

No wonder she produced a film like Pad Man which has a brilliant message!
