Pandya Store, a beloved stop for fans of Hindi soap operas, continues to captivate viewers with its storylines and intriguing characters. Following a generational leap, the narrative now centres around Suman (Krutika Desai), who, along with her grandchildren Chiku (Sahil Uppal), Shesh, Mittu, and Natasha (Priyanshi Yadav), take the storyline forward.
Recently, Sahil Uppal, who portrays Chiku, made the decision to depart from the series, citing concerns that his character wasn't receiving adequate on-screen focus. Following suit, Surabhi Das, who plays Isha, also announced her departure due to less screen space. However, in recent episodes, both characters' presence prompts speculations about their potential departures.
India Forums reached out exclusively to Surabhi to ascertain whether filming is still ongoing or has concluded. In an exclusive interview, Surabhi sheds light on her departure from the series and shares details about her upcoming projects.
We will conclude our shooting by the end of March. We have around 10 to 12 more days of shooting before we exit
- Surabhi Das
Are you both still shooting, or have you stopped shooting?
Actually, when we discussed our exit, we meant that we are currently serving our notice period. Therefore, we will conclude our shooting by the end of March. We have around 10 to 12 more days of shooting before we exit.
When asked if Surabhi and Sahil's storyline will conclude together, Surabhi said, "I guess so, since both of us are leaving, our endings will likely coincide. However, I don't have an idea about how our characters will end or where we will go. We have to exit together, but the exact details of our conclusion are still unknown."
Looking ahead, Surabhi Das discusses her future projects and reveals, "Actually, there are one or two projects, but those are not daily soaps. So, I'm thinking outside the box, like OTT or maybe films. Obviously, I don't think I'll get lead roles in OTT or films while leaving television, which is not possible. So, I'm trying with small characters that will have an impact on the story. I'm starting with such characters. Yes, there are two or three projects lined up, but not significant characters yet, something I'm contributing to the story."
