Head over Heels actor Choo Young-woo caught liking art work of hypersexualized Japanese schoolgirls?

One of the young Korean actors who is having a good run in 2025 is Choo Young-woo. He did really well in Trauma Code: Heroes On Call and followed it up with Mercy For None. His last show Head Over Heels also got a lot of traction for the excellent chemistry and shaman – student plot. However, the actor has been embroiled in some controversy over his social media. It seems he was following some BJs (Broadcast Jockey) on channels like AfreecaTV who post explicit racy content. This led to some flak from netizens and later he said he had unfollowed them. Choo Young-woo said he was not very mindful of his social media activity and would be more careful in the future.

Phone case grabs notice

Choo Young-woo was seen at the Tom Ford event where he wore a black suit. However, what people noticed was his phone case. It had a Japanese art work and netizens got curious. On further digging, they found out that it was from a page Sunzhouuu which had art of school-girls. Some of the pics seemed a little suggestive especially one where a girl is seen with a garter belt. In the pic on his phone, we see a school girl near an adults’ goods store.

Netizens expressed disgust on alleged suggestive content on the phone case

Netizens said the Instagram page had a very select following. They also said that it had Akhibara High School Girls. It seems there are sexual entertainment businesses in Japan that target school girls and encourage them to share intimate pictures. The fact that the phone case led to such debatable content left netizens upset. This has happened after Choo Young-woo apologized and promised to be more careful. They said Korean celebrities seemed quite comfortable showing off such kind of content. As we know, Kim Soo-Hyun faced immense backlash for being an alleged groomer and paedophile.
