In the past year, one of the better shows to be coming out has been in the form of Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana on Star Plus.
However, the show couldn't enjoy good ratings and is all set to wrap up on January 1. Leading man Zaidi opened up on the same to ETimes TV saying, “It is never a good feeling when your show goes off air. Of course, it is abrupt. Nobody was expecting it. There were talks of the show getting a new time slot. So, in a way, it is shocking.”
Hasan actually met with an accident in the first week of December and was looking forward to resume shooting. He said, “I am still recovering from the injuries I sustained during the accident. Honestly, I didn’t get any time to react to the accident or the news of our show going off air. The day my stitches came off, we were informed that the show is ending. Obviously, it is sad but there is nothing we can do about it. As actors and technicians, we tried our best to entertain the audience. The final decision is between the makers and the channel.”
The actor says that awareness around the show would have helped it generate more ratings. He shares, “Apart from writing, direction and performance, other factors, too, come into play to rake in the number. The machinery must work together. If there was more buzz and awareness about the show, it would have taken us beyond what we achieved and generated sustainable ratings. That was a bit disheartening, but we can’t do much about it.”
The unit will shoot for one more day before they call it a wrap. Ask him what next and he replies, “The news of ZMGA going off air hasn’t sunk in yet. I am getting offers, as people have learnt about the development. While I don't have a concrete plan, by default, it will be a two-week break before I take up a new project. I would need some time for full recovery.”

This show is going off air! My heart is breaking. I didn’t want it to keep going for an eternity till we reached the tiring point but at least it deserved some time to end properly but no, they pulled it off. Such potential this show had! The beautiful world of ZMGA, it’s concept and writing, it’s beautiful characters (excluding few), it’s music and Pritam. PRITAM, my boy! I am gonna miss him the most, after all he reaffirmed my faith in ITV MLs. The beautiful, slow and organic development between AmriTam and c’mon Ansh too, is leaving us. The only reason why I was never active on the forum was that I was scared of getting addicted to it, the show was something which deserved to be analysed to great extents and hence I stayed away from this addiction. But I wish I knew that this show was there for only some time. I wish I could go back in time and be a part of the beautiful discussions of this gem! I wish, I JUST WISH!

One very risky way to ensure that Star Plus 7.00 pm starts working is to swap the slots of KKIS and Anupama. Anupama’s popularity and people’s addiction of this show will force them to watch at 7.00 pm and KKIS will get 10.00 pm which is already prepared and well established with minimal competition from TBJJN and Mollakii. But it’s a very big risk. Also I want to know what bribe Rashmi Sharma is paying to SP that no one dares to shift her show to another slot ??

This show could've done much better as limited series on an OTT platform. Sitara just needs to get a grip, this is pathetic. Hope to see Hasan in a show where his potential is utilized fully!

Sad for the show. It could have been allotted 9.00 pm or 11.00 pm slot.SNS 2 with it’s ultra-melodramatic storyline suits more to 7.00 pm slot.I really hope that after losing beautiful shows like “SAAKK” , “ZMGA” , “Lockdown Kii Lovestory” to this cursed 7.00 pm slot , finally “Kabhi Kabhi Ittefaq Se” will break the jinx and I’ll be more than happy if it manages to bring 1.3-1.6 range also. (THU THU THU 🧿)I just want Star Plus to stop being partial towards the early evening shows, give them time to blossom and aggressively promote them by giving actual and cut out promos etc every week and setting that timer in one corner of the screens that shows how much time is left for the evening show band to start. And also Star Plus team needs to lament over the fact that even the early evening shows like ANNS and MHRW are bringing more trp than prime time shows of struggling channels like Star Bharat. Also I’m sick and tired of repeat telecasts in the afternoon. The southern industries like Telugu, Tamil and now even Malyalam and Bangla all are trying to show original serials in afternoon. Afternoon shows of “Star Maa” , “Zee Telugu” , “Sun TV”, “Vijay TV” etc are really performing well.Vijay TV is even airing an original show called “Muthazhagu” at 3.30 pm !!! Please I want original shows in afternoon band. I miss those days of “Hamari Devrani” , “Sapno Se Bhare Naina” etc
