Born on August 21, 1984 Barun Sobti is the most loved and popular actor amongst the youth today. The Punjabi Munda' started his acting career in 2009 with Star Plus' television series Shraddha. Well, not many are aware that before entering into the entertainment industry, Barun has worked as an operation manager at Jindal Telecom for 7 years. The Indian Model and TV heartthrob came into the limelight as Arnav from popular show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Let's take a look at his career highs...

Early Career

Shraddha - The actor who completed his schooling in Delhi launched his career with Star Plus' Shraddha in 2009, opposite actress Neha Janpandit. However, the show failed to garner the expected limelight and soon went off air within four months in January, 2010.

Dill Mill Gayye - He was part of Star One's most popular youth serial "Dill Mill Gayye" having Karan Singh Grover in lead, Barun played the character of "Dr.Yuvraj Singh (Raj)". Though it was a very small journey for him in the show, the actor left the show after getting an opportunity to play a lead in another show.

Baat Hamari Pakki Hai - Barun Sobti got his much awaited acclaim as Shravan Jaiswal in Sony TV's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. Ankita Sharma played the female lead opposite Barun on the show.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?- This show was the turning point for the actor, it was one of the top shows on Star Plus. His character of 28 year old successful business tycoon Arnav Singh Raizad was immensely loved and appreciated by huge audience. Not only this, the Barun-Sanaya (Sanaya Irani) jodi is still remembered and missed by many.

Main Aur Mr. Right -The actor took a big step and made his Bollywood debut with Main Aur Mr. Right - a romantic movie with Shenaz Treasurywala as a lead. The film failed to get good reviews for its storyline and direction however our Barun's work was appreciated.

Barun Sobti was heard to be making his comeback on television with BBC production's new finite series 'Satya Ki Kiran', however, to everyone's despair the show got scrapped. While the Barun fans desperately await his comeback, we are sure of something better being cooked up for him.
