'Kind of overnight, yeh karna pada…': GHKKPM's Sameeksha Sud on sudden change in track

Sameeksha Sud, known for her strong social media presence, was recently seen in Star Plus' Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as Aditi. Marking her return to television after a brief break, Sameeksha portrayed an autistic child, the only daughter of the main lead's father from his first marriage. Her performance as an autistic character won hearts not just among the makers but also with the show's loyal viewers.

However, with Bhavika Sharma's dramatic re-entry and the return of the Thakkar family, Sameeksha's character, along with the Chavan family, came to an end. After months, the show eventually wrapped up. However, the major plot shift left fans curious, with many wondering whether the change in track was part of a long-term plan or a sudden change. Addressing the buzz, Sameeksha opened up to us in an exclusive conversation, sharing her side of the story.

There were a lot of rumours and speculation around the sudden dramatic change in the storyline, whether it was pre-planned or not. You were part of it at the time, so what do you have to say about it?

Nahi, nahi. Mere hisaab se, mujhe toh nahi lagta yeh pre-planned tha because mere character mein bohot graph aane waala tha. There were many developments planned for Aditi in the next 15 days. And it was already incorporated; woh hona shuru ho gaya tha and then achanak se aisa hua ki ab sab change ho raha hai. So I don't think so unlogon ko bhi pata tha ki aisa hone waala hai.

But jahan tak mujhe pata chala, woh yeh hai ki unko bhi nahi pata tha. So they were equally sad, creatives and everyone were upset ki yr yeh ho raha hai. Because they were like ki yeh character ko dekh ke bohot maza aa raha hai, bohot accha lag raha hai, logon ko bhi pasand aa raha hai. So I was somewhere confident that it would go somewhere. But then when it happened, I was like, okay. I'm always prepared for the worst. I've always been like this, try for the best and always be prepared for the worst.

(No, No. According to me, I don't think it was pre-planned because there was supposed to be a significant graph in my character. There were many developments planned for Aditi in the next 15 days. And it was already incorporated; it had started happening. Then, suddenly, everything changed. So I don't think they knew this was going to happen either. Things happened kind of overnight, the situation was such that they had to do it. So I don't think so it was pre-planned, this is what I know; I don't know the inside picture. But as far as I know, they didn't know either. So they were equally sad, creatives and everyone were crying. Because they were like we are having a lot of fun seeing this character, it's looking very good, people were liking it too. So I was somewhere confident that it would go somewhere. But then when it happened, I was like, okay. I'm always prepared for the worst. I've always been like this, try for the best and always be prepared for the worst.)
