Guru Dutt wanted me to have a 'juicy' - 'sexy' name: Waheeda Rehman

Noted actress Waheeda Rehman talks about yesteryear superstars on The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai Season 2.

The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai Season 2 will have two veteran actresses Waheeda Rehman and Asha Parekh for its coming episode.

Noted actress Waheeda Rehman who will be seen in the weekend episode on 4th October discloses some fond memories from her yester years.

Speaking about her first meeting with superstar Dev Anand, she says "I actually didn't know I was going to be cast opposite him for CID. I remember nervously calling him Dev Saab despite him insisting that I call him Dev. Till now; he is the only actor that I call on a first name basis. I didn't know that I was playing a negative character in the film since it didn't matter and got paid on a monthly basis."

Also sharing an incident, she talks about how open Dev Anand as an actor was, and how jokingly said that he never liked it when she used to call him Dev Sahab, and used to always say "No, call me Dev".

Not only she told about this one yesteryear superstar but also talking about Guru Dutt, she adds "He always wanted to change my name because he believed Waheeda was not a "Juicy" or a "Sexy" name but I refused to do so as I was proud of the name that my parents gave me."

Indeed a lovely episode with veteran actresses is waiting this weekend! Stay tuned.
