Speaking to Instant Bollywood, Genelia finally commented on the buzz. She said, “Hats off to the cameraman who shot it — he did a great job. It’s a good laugh. I think it’s a great laugh.” Addressing the speculation directly, she added, “I’m very clear that I have to be Riteish’s number one. I don’t care about anything else; these things are too frivolous for us. We’ve dated for 23 years now.”

Dismissing the theories being spun around her body language, the actress said the reaction to the video was exaggerated. “People keep trying to create things… I mean, the video with Preity Zinta was amazing, I think that cameraman did a great job. But there are many videos that have come out which are rubbish. I don’t care, it makes no sense. It’s just blown out of proportion. I was just low on social battery,” she concluded.

On the work front, Genelia recently appeared in Sitaare Zameen Par, backed by Aamir Khan Productions. Speaking about the experience, she said, “Collaborating with Aamir Khan Productions after all these years feels incredibly special. This role is unlike anything I’ve done before.”

The film also features ten debutants alongside Aamir and Genelia. Adding a special milestone to her journey, Genelia recently visited Rashtrapati Bhavan and met President Droupadi Murmu. She called the President’s gesture of watching the film and sharing kind words a “blessing we will carry with us always.”
