'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' actors Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox share heartfelt tributes for late co-star Matthew Perry

In a poignant tribute to his dear friend and co-star, Matt LeBlanc took to Instagram to share his grief over the recent passing of Matthew Perry. The emotional post featured a series of throwback pictures capturing the cherished 'Joey-Chandler' moments from the iconic sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S. LeBlanc's heartfelt note expressed the profound impact Perry had on his life, calling their time together among his favorite moments. 

"It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you, and I'll never forget you. Spread your wings and fly, brother; you're finally free. Much love. And I guess you're keeping the 20 bucks you owe me," wrote LeBlanc.

Courteney Cox, who portrayed Monica, Chandler's love interest and wife in the beloved series, also paid tribute to Perry. Sharing an anecdote alongside a clip from F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Cox expressed her gratitude for every moment spent with Perry. Reflecting on the bond they shared, she revealed a behind-the-scenes story of a whispered funny line from Perry just before a pivotal scene.

She wrote,  "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favorites. To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind. 🤍."

The entire Friends cast came together for Matthew Perry's funeral the previous week, standing as a testament to the deep bonds formed during the show's decade-long run.
