Farhan-Adhuna to part ways without any legal hitch!

Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Akhtar (Bhabani) took everyone by surprise when they announced their decision to part ways last month. The Wazir actor and his hair stylist wife cited 'growing apart over the years' as the reason behind their separation.

Now, Akhtar and Bhabani have said that they don't want any legal battles in the picture. The two have reportedly met some lawyers in order to see to it that their divorce takes place without any hitch.

"Farhan has expressed his preference to pay a one-time alimony instead of month ly maintenance. Moreover, Adhuna is apparently keen to retain their family home Vipassana, where she is currently staying with their daughters.Our source says, "She has told Farhan that she has also contributed to making the home, so she'd like to continue staying there instead of looking for a new place and setting it up all over again", a souce was quoted saying to a leading daily. [sic]

On January 21 this year, Farhan and Adhuna released an official statement which said that they were parting ways. "This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculation and public glare. We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner," read the statement.

Farhan and Adhuna had tied the knot in 2000, after meeting on the sets of Akhtar's directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai. The ex-couple has two children together, Shakya and Akira.
