Filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar is all set to make a comeback as a director after a hiatus of over a decade with his upcoming movie 'Jee Le Zaraa.' Recently, on Tuesday, he shared his thoughts on filmmaking with his fans through an Instagram post. In the post, Farhan shared a picture of himself holding a shooting camera and penned down his thoughts about the profession.

Farhan expressed his gratitude towards the art of filmmaking and how lucky he feels to be a part of it. He stated that as a filmmaker, he gets the opportunity to conceive a story and collaborate with other like-minded people to transform it into a cinematic experience.

He believes that filmmaking's true essence lies in sharing the stories that once lived only in the creator's imagination with the rest of the world and eliciting the desired emotional response from the audience. Farhan added that he doesn't care whether he is in front of the camera or behind it as long as he tells stories.

Sharing a throwback picture of himself with the camera, he wrote, "Every once in a while I stop and think about how lucky we film makers are .. to think up a story and then connect with like minded dreamers to bring that story to life .. to get to share what once lived just in the mind with the world and hopefully .. hopefully.. elicit the intended emotional response. There's no other place I'd rather be. Behind a camera or in front of a camera. Doesn't matter. As long as it's telling stories. See you at the movies. ♥️"

Currently, Farhan Akhtar is in Rajasthan, scouting locations for his upcoming movie 'Jee Le Zaraa.' He has been sharing glimpses of his journey on his social media handles.
