Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar to tie the knot in Mauritius?

After four years of their relationship, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have finally decided to tie the knot this month. Javed Akhtar confirmed their wedding and told Etimes how the organizers are taking care of all the tiny elements of this low-key event. 

The wedding of the year was expected to be held at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's Khandala farmhouse, 'Sukoon,' but it appears that the couple has other plans. 

According to Bollywoodlife, Shibani and Farhan's wedding festivities will take place in three cities: Mumbai, Lonavala, and Mauritius. The couple hasn't made up their minds on where they want to go. 

Javed Akhtar had exclusively told BT, confirming the wedding date of February 21. He said, 

Yes, the wedding is taking place. Rest, shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain that is being taken care of by the wedding planners. Taking the situation into consideration, it is obvious that we cannot host anything on a large scale. So, we are only calling a few people.

Happy to welcome Shibani officially into the family, the lyricist had shared,

She is a very nice girl. All of us like her very much. The most important thing is that she and Farhan get along very well, which is great.

On the work front, Farhan Akhtar will next direct  'Jee Le Zara'. The movie stars Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.
