While everybody knew how the singer passed away but the details of the same were not known. It can now be confirmed that Mangeshkar died due to a septic shock with multiple-organ failure at Breach Candy Hospital after battling COVID-19 related complications for 29 days.

Her team of doctors from Breach Candy, who were present at the funeral in Shivaji Park, were personally thanked by PM Modi for looking after her.

As known, Mangeshkar was admitted to the hospital on January 9, two days after she tested positive for Covid. She was advised hospitalisation as she had developed pneumonia. As her condition deteriorated, she had to be put on non-invasive ventilator and then on a mechanical ventilator. Her condition improved and she was taken off the mechanical ventilator on January 27. She was on a ventilator for more than 3 weeks that itself is torture for someone in their 90’s. 😞
