Embracing the vitality of summer breaks: A conversation with Gurpreet Singh

Actor Gurpreet Singh who is currently seen in Vanshaj says that while adults might not be getting summer vacations, a summer trip is a must for everyone. He says that it’s sad that people think they cannot pause their work life on hold for a few days in order to get a much-needed break.

“Summers are for everyone, right? While long summer breaks might seem like a distant memory from childhood, I believe adults still crave that escape from the daily grind. We all need a bit of sunshine, sandy beaches, and maybe a fruity drink with an umbrella in it to recharge those batteries,” he says.

He adds, “The fear of falling behind or missing out often keeps us glued to our desks. But hey, life isn't just about work! We need to break free from that fear and embrace the beauty of taking time off. Whether it's to explore new places, spend quality time with loved ones, or simply unwind, we owe it to ourselves to prioritize our well-being.”

He adds that a short break can be so important. “A short break can work wonders for the soul. It's like hitting the reset button on life. No matter what profession you're in, stepping away from the routine allows you to gain perspective, rejuvenate your mind, and come back stronger than ever. Plus, who doesn't love a mini adventure?” he says.

Talking about how he manages to take time off, he says, “I try to sneak in short breaks whenever I can, maybe once every few months. It's all about seizing the moment, you know? As for preparation, I like to keep it spontaneous! A quick packing session, some travel essentials, and a playlist ready to set the mood.”

As for his phone on these trips, he tries to keep it away, says the actor. “While staying connected is important, I'm a big advocate for setting boundaries, especially during breaks. It's all about finding that balance between staying in touch and giving yourself the gift of being fully present in the moment. So yes, a break from the cellphone? Sign me up!”
