Elvish Yadav's mother had dreams of son becoming a civil servant; reality show star reveals at UPSC event

Reality show star Elvish Yadav is one of the most successful content creators of India. From making YouTube videos to winning reality shows, his success story has inspired many. Despite his controversies, no one can take away the fact that he is a self-made man. Elvish Yadav was invited as a motivational speaker at an event that was graced by UPSC candidates and top Government officers. He expressed pride at being at the venue congratulating everyone who made it big in the civil services exams. He also narrated how his mother once had ambitions of him becoming a public servant.

As we know, he has done his B.Com from Delhi’s Hansraj College. It is one of the top institutes in the country. When he was doing his graduation, he began to make YouTube videos as a side vocation. Elvish Yadav said his mother wanted him to sit for the UPSC exams but the thought of endless studying was a daunting one. He said he was a good student though. As we know, he got 94 per cent in his 12th exams. Some people questioned the presence of Elvish Yadav for such an event. They said someone more academic should have been there instead to give a discourse.

Many have questioned on when it is proper to have influencers speak at such events. They said Elvish Yadav does not have the academic creds to command a position on such a stage. Others have argued that people might follow different paths but that does not diminish someone’s hard work. His supporters said that even public servants are active on social media in current times so this criticism is somewhat unfair. Elvish Yadav is quite close to Government officials in Haryana. He was also clicked with India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
