Dr. Haathi back to Gokuldham Society in Taarak Mehta..

Dr. Haathi aka Azad Kavi returns to SAB TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah tonight..

SAB TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah will see the comeback of Dr. Haathi (Azad Kavi) in tonight's episode.

As reported earlier, Azad Kavi had a severe health issue which resulted in breathing problems owing to his obese structure. The actor had to undergo a rigorous fitness schedule, which has helped him to a great extent.

According to our source, "Azad has reduced nearly 16-17 kilos, and has resumed shoot for Taarak. His entry sequence will be aired tonight. The Gokuldham Society receives a courier which comes in a truck. When they open the truck, all the residents are shocked to see an elephant sitting inside. They are scared to death for a second, but later it gets revealed that it is their own Dr. Haathi who has planned a surprise comeback for them".

For the uninitiated, residents of the society are upset that their kids are spending time on computers and are not devoting time to outdoor games. So the parents have planned to play some traditional games in order to pull their kids to join them in their play.

As per our source, "Dr. Haathi gets to know of this plan that the residents have taken to, and he comes to the society to be part of the whole plan".

A little birdie also tells us that Tanuj Mahashadde who essays the role of Mr. Iyer will also be resuming shoot from May 17th. The actor has recuperated from the leg fracture he suffered on the sets.

We tried calling Azad Kavi, but he remained unavailable. We tried calling Producer Asit Modi, and even sent him a text message, but he remained unavailable.

With Dr. Haathi resuming work and Mr. Iyer about to come back, we can say that Gokuldham Society will be buzzing with lot more activities now!!

My view is that Indian cinema this day in age offers everything...it caters to the diverse Indian population. Movies of the Rajshri genre do cater to a certain audience that still believes in the traditional values and holds it close to heart and wants to part it to their children. So its wrong to say that such movies dont'' belong this day in age. There is a large audience for it...how else do you explain the success of a show like Bidaai that i feel is promoting similar ideals.

On the other hand its not all feel good cinema any more or the escapist cinema that was popular post the 70s. You see the grim reality in some and the thought provoking ones too ...things that the majority of people don''t want to think about is thrown in your face by some movies and then there is the fantasy type that lets you escape.

i believe its important to have all of it because the Indian audience is just that diverse today. We need a bit of everything and therefore i have no complaints from Indian cinema. Some days i am in a mood for reality...sometimes in a mood for fantasy and some times in a mood to see some idealism.

BTW i do know someone who will wait for his love...maybe not 12 years but at least for 7 years. Thats still remarkable in my opinion and i think that a movie that depicts that emotion is not too far off from reality. It may not be the reality for everyone but for a few it is...and is an inspiration to the many who are unfortunate to not have witnessed such things.

I don''t get it!

I go watch a movie to escape my stressful life and enjoy 2 hours whether its through emotions or laughter. Although I enjoy realistic cinema, if that''s all that came out I would be PISSED!

So I for one am extremely glad that though my reality doesn''t mimic my dream world, at least somwhere I see it come alive. And so in our world, the filmi world comes as a relief, as solace, as a form of hope that you know maybe there is someone like Prem out there who''ll wait for 12 years.

But I guess to each their own.

But this is my firm opinion.
