Diljit Dosanjh reminisces about his first day on shoot of 'Udta Punjab' with Kareena & how she treated him

Diljit Dosanjh, the multi-talented Punjabi sensation, has not only conquered hearts in Punjab and India but has also made his mark on the global stage. His journey from the Punjabi music industry to Bollywood has been nothing short of remarkable. Stepping into the Hindi film fraternity with "Udta Punjab," Diljit garnered immense admiration and respect from nationwide audiences.

One of the most memorable experiences for Diljit during the filming of "Udta Punjab" was sharing the screen with Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan. In a recent interview, Diljit reminisced about his first day on set with Bebo and how it felt like a surreal moment for him.

Opening up about the experience in a candid chat with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Diljit expressed, “My first day of shoot for a Hindi movie was with Kareena Kapoor (in Udta Punjab). At that time, I was like, ‘I have watched the movies of this actor with whom I am working today.’ So, that was one great moment.”

He further gushed, "She said that her staff would like to get photos with me. That was a huge deal for me. I never ever thought I would even meet her in life. Our scene hasn’t started yet. So, big artists like her cool you down when you’re working with them for the first time. I understood why she said so, to make me comfortable. I felt great,”

Diljit's bond with Kareena only grew stronger as they collaborated on multiple projects together. From "Udta Punjab" to "Good Newwz" and now  "Crew," their camaraderie both on and off-screen shines through. 

Looking ahead, Diljit Dosanjh is all set to portray the legendary musician Amar Singh Chamkila in an upcoming biopic directed and co-produced by Imtiaz Ali.
