Chandrachur Singh reveals he is a single father, calls it “one of the toughest jobs”

Actor Chandrachur Singh made his acting debut with Tere Mere Sapne in 1996 and went on to feature in films like Maachis, Dil Kya Kare, Kya Kehna and Josh. His last Bollywood release was Aa Gaya Hero alongside Govinda in 2017.

Last year, Chandrachur made his acting comeback with the web series Aarya alongside Sushmita Sen. In a recent interview , when asked why he was missing from the show business for a long time, the actor revealed that he is a single father and spent time raising his son Shaarnjai. He told ETimes:

“Actually, I am a single father so that took up most of my time. I am pretty hands-on; I needed to be. So I was occupied being a father for most of my time.”

Chandrachur was married to Avantika Mankotia and it is yet to be known about what went wrong between the couple. 

When asked what kind of father he is, Chandrachur said that he is trying to become better.

“I don’t know. I guess my son would be the best person to answer this question. I believe that I keep learning on the job. Parenting, I think, is one of the toughest jobs. You make mistakes, you have your good moments, you keep learning and try to become better.”

The actor who maintains a low profile on social media says he is not skilled at handling social media but his son is teaching him more about it.

Speaking of future projects, Chandrachur stated that he wants to do all kinds of films and would like to try playing all sorts of characters.
