Boycott KBC Trends After Amitabh Bachchan Accused of Disrespecting Shivaji Maharaj

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan landed into a controversy over a question he asked on his popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati 11. In the last episode of KBC, host Amitabh asked a historical question to a contestant which enraged the viewers.

The question asked was, “Which of these rulers was the contemporary of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb?” and the options given were A. Maharana Pratap, B. Rana Sanga, C. Maharaja Ranjit Singh, D. Shivaji

One of the options ‘D. Shivaji’ enraged the audience that took to Twitter to criticize the show and the host for calling Aurangzeb an Emperor while didn’t addressing Shivaji as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who was one of the great kings in India.

Twitteratis expressed their anger and disappointment with several tweets under #BoycottKBC calling it shameful and demanding an official apology from the channel.
