In the latest Weekend Ka Vaar of Bigg Boss 19, Farah Khan stepped in for Salman Khan, who is busy shooting Battle of Galwan in Leh. Her tone was firm and unsparing as she addressed the week’s controversies, particularly those surrounding Kunickaa Sadanand and Gaurav Khanna.
Farah first confronted Kunickaa over her frequent remarks about Tanya Mittal’s upbringing and her reluctance to take part in household chores. Calling out the attitude, Farah reminded contestants that cooking and feeding others is counted as a good deed inside the house.
She then asked, “Cooking kisko nahi aati?” before turning to Gaurav Khanna with a pointed jibe. “Gaurav, don’t you dare put your hand up. Kabhi chopping hi kar liya kar, matlab kya hai,” she quipped, making the house burst into laughter.
The exchange didn’t end there. When Farah asked who felt Kunickaa was controlling the kitchen, Gaurav raised his hand and sided with Neelam Giri. But Farah cut him short with another sharp comment: “Tu bhi kuch kar le. Cooking reality show jeet kar aaya hai, umpire banne nahi bulaya hai.”
Although the remarks were delivered sarcastically, it was clear Gaurav had found himself back on the radar. Earlier this season, he had already faced backlash from viewers after refusing to help with cooking. Many questioned how a winner of Celebrity MasterChef India could shy away from kitchen duties on Bigg Boss.
The criticism intensified on social media, with trolls calling his victory undeserved. In response, Gaurav’s team released a clarification on X. Their statement read: “Let’s be clear — MasterChef and Bigg Boss cooking aren’t the same. At MasterChef, Gaurav worked with guidance, preparing one plated dish with finesse. In Bigg Boss, it’s about daily meals for people, with no supervision. Winning that title was about determination, not prior skill.”
The note further defended him, adding that it was unfair to judge him based on one comment about Indian food.
The controversy traces back to an earlier episode when house captain Kunickaa asked Gaurav to cook. He declined, saying, “I have come here for a reason, to win and not to cook. Everyone here has a democracy, I also have one, and I will keep my point.”
With Farah’s weekend intervention, both Kunickaa and Gaurav are now under sharper scrutiny, setting the stage for another turbulent week in the Bigg Boss house.
