Naina Singh was evicted from the Bigg Boss 14 house last week and while not many were expecting this to happen, even she is left in absolute shock. She entered the house along with two other contestants, Kavita Kaushik and Shardul Pandit 2 weeks after the show. While Shardul got eliminated this weekend, Kavita was given a chance to re-enter the house post her elimination in her first week itself.
We got in touch with Naina where she spoke about the journey, the fights, and more. Read excerpts from the interview here.
How has your journey been? Are you disappointed?
It was very unfair the way I got evicted, I am not saying a lot because people will say that she got evicted that is why she is telling, and she is a sore loser and things like that, but to be very honest, I did everything I could and they have not shown it. Do you really think that the girl who gave it back to Shardul Pandit on the stage will stay quiet inside the house? The bag task saw me holding the cycle and the bag from one hand for twenty minutes and they showed it for 5 seconds. I was the Sanchalak and I had a fight with Nikki Tamboli, with Eijaz Khan, they did not sho.
I was traumatized when I saw the show, and when Salman Khan sir spoke about the 'laal chashma' comment and I did not know how to react because by that time I had had fights with almost everyone in the house and I had had my moments and everything else, but nothing was on the TV. I have taken a stand for Rahul Vaidya when the entire episode with Jasmin Bhasin, I was the only one who took a stand for him and that was also shown as a glimpse. I think no one did as much as I was doing, no one was doing enough.
They only took us inside to take us out and I think this was pre-planned. For me, it felt exactly that and when I was in the red zone, I knew I will go out. I was not even shocked when all this happened, I was just wondering why did you do that. Even the mask task was very long and elaborate but Pavitra was given the footage as she was crying there inside but all I did was play the game, probably I am too smart for the game.
Tell us about your bond with Eijaz Khan and what happened there?
Eijaz and I bonded since day one and he always said that he will be there for me like my 'shubh chintak' and that despite the fights, we will come around. But the same day when this happened, we had a huge fight and it was not shown, but it was so much that we were mighty annoyed with each other and I did not put him the red mark because if he thinks he is mad, then I am the crazier one here. I did not want to give that to him, I just kept my words. All those things did not make sense because it was in line with things that I said, but those weren't shown.
You also got into a fight with Jaan Sanu, what do you have to say to that?
That fight was very silly, and I think to sabotage my image, they invented the cigarette box. From the very beginning, they were saying that these guys are here for footage and so, not everyone was talking to us. It was basically over the green tea issue and I wanted it but I did not know it was a luxury budget item and I did not know the entire thing and that's how things were blown out of proportion.
Your equation with Nikki Tamboli seemed to have evolved. How were things with her?
Nikki used to ignore me in the beginning, but then we had a fight during a task, and then the next day she came to me and hugged me and we were like okay. Another fight followed as well, which was also not shown, and then the idea here is no one knows why were me and Nikki fighting, so they don't know. Even after the mask task, we had more fights, and after that, during the immunity task, when we were told someone else has t do it, I was left in shock. That task also seemed to be rather surprising for me, and that's when I went up to her because we did not have any fights and so we can be there for each other. Nikki is actually a very nice girl, she has been shown as very loud and dirty. I had said already before going that I am not going to judge anyone.
Would you go inside the house if given a chance? Do you think your decision to do the show was right?
No, I cannot risk my time because I have seen what they are doing and I'll do something that is making me happy rather than sabotaging my image. I am glad that I am out of the house, not because of the contestants, but because of the way makers are showing me. It is like I am glad I am out of the show because I was doing whatever I was doing but they were not showing anything, so I am just happy to be out. My decision to go inside the house was good, but I did not know the politics of it.
