Nushrratt Bharuccha has landed in hot water after a video from the International Day of Yoga event in Mumbai went viral for all the wrong reasons. What should have been a peaceful and inspiring day turned into a controversy that left the internet buzzing and not in a good way.

The viral clip, shared widely across social media platforms, shows Nushrratt asking a female volunteer to untie her shoelaces before taking part in the yoga session. As the helper bends down to remove one shoe, the actress casually shifts to the side and points to her other foot, seemingly directing her to remove that shoe as well. What looked like a simple act quickly snowballed into online backlash.

Netizens were far from amused. Many slammed the actress for her “elitist” and “entitled” behavior, especially at an event that promotes wellness, humility, and self-discipline. One user commented, 'She’s here to do yoga but can’t even bend to untie her own shoes? Another sarcastically wrote, 'What kind of fitness is this where she can’t remove her own shoes for yoga?'

The reactions kept pouring in, with people questioning the need to ask someone else for help with something so personal and basic. Some pointed out the irony of promoting yoga, which encourages independence and mindfulness while relying on others for the most minimal task.

Despite the storm, Nushrratt had earlier shared her love for yoga at the same event. Speaking to ANI, she said, 'Yoga is very energising. If it becomes part of your daily routine, it’s perfect for your mind, body, and soul.' Unfortunately, her good intentions were overshadowed by this brief moment that didn’t sit well with the public.

On the work front, Nushrratt was last seen in Chhorii 2, a horror drama directed by Vishal Furia. The film, which premiered on April 11, features Soha Ali Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Pallavi Ajay in key roles.
