Arijit Singh the Eminen of India in terms of earning money; says, 'He can eat 100 of Us'

It is a known fact that Indian singers make huge money. In fact, some of them earn almost at par with established actors in the industry. Rappers Ikka Singh and Raftaar in a recent interview mentioned that Arijit Singh once got a duplex flat in Mumbai as fee for a performance that lasted only one to one and a half hour. They were on a podcast where Raftaar said that Arijit Singh makes crazy money, and as a person he too is a bit crazy. The rapper said that people understand that Indian musicians are rich as all of them flaunt a lifestyle and looks synonymous with the rich and famous. But nobody in the industry was as rich as Arijit Singh.

Arijit Singh was compared to Eminem by Raftaar and Ikka. He said that Eminen is one of the greats of the music industry but his personal life is low-key and private. Raftaar was quoted as saying, “The amount of money he makes is crazy and the person he is. People in the music industry think of themselves as rich, they even look rich, this includes us, but Arijit can have 100 of us for lunch.”

He spoke about how Arijit Singh once headed home in an auto from a show as his car was stuck. It seems the singer is not very enthusiastic about performing in weddings. But a party was very insistent, so he asked for a duplex home in Mumbai as his fee. Raftaar said, “One should check how much a duplex house costs in Mumbai. He got that for 1-1.5 hour performance.”

They said that it is common knowledge that AR Rahman takes Rs three crores for a live show, but people should know how much Arijit Sir charges. They further said, “It’s about timing also, but he isn’t making noise about it—and that’s the difference.”

The playback singer was reportedly paid Rs five crores for his performance at Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding. He owns a home worth Rs eight crore in Mumbai.
