Aparshakti Khurrana Reveals Why He Was Asked to Touch Ayushmann's Feet Every Morning as a Child

Actor Aparshakti Khurrana, who recently celebrated the success of Amar Kaushik's Stree 2, shares a deep connection with his brother, Ayushmann Khurrana. Recently, Aparshakti attended a special screening of his latest film, "Berlin", which was graced by several celebrities, including Ayushmann. At the event, Aparshakti warmed hearts by bowing down to receive his brother's blessings, a gesture that quickly went viral. Now, the Berlin actor has opened up about why he was asked to touch Ayushmann’s feet every morning during their childhood.

In a recent podcast with Digital Commentary on YouTube, Berlin actor Aparshakti Khurana opened up about the childhood tradition of touching his elder brother Ayushmann Khurrana’s feet every morning. Aparshakti recalled that after a fight where he used foul language, he was given an ultimatum by their father: either touch Ayushmann’s feet daily and call him “bhaiya,” or leave the house. 

From this day on, you will call him ‘bhaiya’ and every morning you will touch his feet in the morning and that is the only way you can stay in this house, or you can’t stay in this house

Reflecting on their bond, Aparshakti shared how this practice reduced conflict and brought them closer, likening their relationship to the "old-school Ram-Lakshman kind."

In the viral video, we see Aparshakti Khurrana  arriving at the red carpet with his wife, Akriti Khurrana, where they greet his brother Ayushmann and sister-in-law, Tahira Kashyap. Aparshakti touches Ayushmann’s feet and shares a warm hug with Tahira, while Akriti bends down to touch Tahira’s feet and embraces Ayushmann, showcasing the family's deep-rooted traditions and close bond.
