Anurag Basu reacts on rumors of Jennifer Winget being paired opposite Kartik Aryan in ‘Aashiqui 3’

Actor Kartik Aaryan has been talk of the town since the release of his last film Bhool Bhulaiya 2. Kartik took to his social media account and shared the news. He also shared a motion poster of the film. Talking about Aashiqui 3, Kartik Aaryan expressed his joy and told : “The timeless classic ‘Aashiqui’ is something I grew up watching and working on ‘Aashiqui 3’ is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.” 

Ever since the announcement of the movie went viral, the viewers started anticipating about the leading lady of the movie. Rumours started doing the rounds about popular television actress Jennifer Winget has been roped in opposite Kartik for the movie. Jenny’s fans got ecstatic with the update.

For the unversed, Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal starrer ‘Aashiqui’ released in 1990 and was helmed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film was a huge success and its songs continue to rule hearts. In 2013, the franchise was followed up with Mohit Suri helmed ‘Aashiqui 2’ starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur.
