The road to power, a heart-warming friendship and the charm of the 60s, Disney+ Hostar’s upcoming power-packed series, Sultan Of Delhi, has it all. Based on the book Sultan of Delhi: Ascension by Arnab Ray, the series is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Directed by Milan Luthria and Co-Directed and Co-written by Suparn Verma.  Reimagining the charm of old India and creating a visual spectacle on-screen, Milan Luthria marks his OTT directorial debut with this larger-than-life mass entertainer, ‘Sultan Of Delhi,” which is all set to release on 13th October 2023. The series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Sharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak alongside Nishant Dahiya and the ladies Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi and Mehreen Pirzada, making for a perfect ensemble cast.

Discomfort or uneasiness in an intimate scene can be spotted by anyone on screen. Hence, in today’s time, an intimacy coordinator is always a part of the crew who helps make intimate scenes look effortless with no awkwardness between the actors. Nishant Dahiya and Anupriya Goenka showcased an incredible level of comfort with each other, allowing their characters to come alive in ways that felt truly authentic. Anupriya Goenka shares how she went about shooting the intimacy scenes for Sultan on Delhi.

Talking about the same, Anupriya Goenka said, “Nishant and I are very committed actors, and we were both comfortable and took the intimate scenes head-on. We just knew that we had to do it and give it our best shot, so we didn't discuss much about it. There was not much prep that went into the process apart from working on our own characters, sometimes together and sometimes individually. We had an intimacy workshop that really helped us. Aastha was really nice and appreciative. However, between Nishant and me, there was never awkwardness and we were more focused on the scenes and not being worried about the intimate part of it. He is very comfortable to work with and very collaborative. We would talk and discuss how we wanted to approach a scene, and we were always doing it from an emotional or layered part of the characters. The intimacy part of it came as a byproduct of the story and the other scenes.”

The show has begun streaming on Disney+ Hotstar 13th October 2023 onwards.
