Star Plus' beloved series Teri Meri Doriyaan has been making headlines following the announcements of exits from the show by Jatin Arora (Veer) and Prachi Hada (Keerat). In an exclusive conversation with India Forums yesterday, Prachi made some explosive revelations surrounding her exit from the show. She accused the makers and the creatives of not paying heed to the creative side of Keerat, not giving her screen space and more.
Well, India Forums reached out to the production house to talk about the same, and a close source spoke to us, making shocking revelations about the actress, countering her recent interview with us.
Speaking about the accusations of the actress, the source said, ''The accusations made by Prachi are rubbish and completely false. Why else would an actor be replaced in a running show? She had a completely arm-twisting attitude and would make unreasonable demands. She refused to cooperate with the show's makers and creative team and would often create an uproar over her hairstyles, her costumes, and so much more. She would never come on time and keep asking the makers to keep her at a fixed cost.''
Talking about Prachi's track not working for the show, the source further revealed, ''The storyline of any show cannot revolve around one particular actor you see. The makers of the show have to be economical; they have to think about various aspects. Also, the channel should also approve the story, no? We did run tracks around the parallel leads, but the TRPs did not improve; the moment we shifted focus towards Angad (Vijayendra Kumeria) and Sahiba (Himanshi Parashar), the TRPs improved again. We all know that a show works on ratings.''

When we asked our source if Prachi had voluntarily quit the show and had tried putting her papers 4 times, the said person stated, ''Absolutely not. She came to us asking us to increase her pay and to put her at a fixed cost. She said she wanted us to put her at a fixed cost even if her dates were not being utilised. Now isn't this blackmailing?''
Heaping praises on Vijayendra Kumeria and Himanshi Parashar, the said person then stated, ''Vijayendra and Himanshi are fabulous actors and even fabulous people. They are humble, down-to-earth, cooperative and production-friendly. They never have any unnecessary demands. But other parallel leads? They throw tantrums, and people who have done so have been shown the exit. Prachi would keep comparing herself to Vijayendra. Vijayendra is an amazing person, and he has never given anyone a hard time. The same goes with Himanshi.''

When asked if Prachi has quit the show voluntarily, the source revealed, ''No, she has been replaced. We have replaced her. And we had to do this because of her unreasonable demands. We had been putting up with her for 6-8 months. Everyone has a limit; she had crossed it. Hence, we decided to take this call.''

We tried reaching out to the makers of the show to confirm the same, however, they remained unavailable for any comments.

“Having unnecessary demands” in industry speak means that an employee is putting their foot down and asking for what is due to them. Why would VJ & Himanshi have any problem? They are getting ample screen space anyway. Other actors wanting more screen time and for their characters to develop better for their career shouldn’t be vilified.
