Ups and downs are a part and parcel of life, but what matters is how well we face them and come out of them. Our Khans are surely good examples of this. They do stay grounded in times of crisis and emerge out of them like mighty survivors.
Here's taking you to a mini ride around the year 2014 of the Khans
2014 did prove to be a bed of roses for King Khan. It all started with his team Kolkata Knight Riders winning IPL 7. Later, Shah Rukh Khan was felicitated with Global Diversity Award 2014 for his outstanding achievements in the field of cinema and his involvement in philanthropic endeavours. The heartthrob actor gave his all-time biggest hit Happy New Year that released on 24 October 2014 in three different languages: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It was one of the most expensive films made in Bollywood. The film received commercial success and was among the highest-grossing Bollywood films, but at the same time it received mixed and negative reviews from critics. However, the one thing that tops it all is the first big screen appearance of Shah Rukh Khan's youngest son, AbRram in Happy New Year. SRK was ranked as the second richest actor in the world by Wealth X firm. And to top it all Bollywood Badshah had all reasons to smile and end the year as his all-time blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge completed its 1,000th week at Maratha Mandir.
The Bhai of Bollywood Salman Khan is known for his generosity and his strong headed temperament. Year 2014 was indeed a sweet n sour year for Salman. He fell into some controversial matters but as well had his share of happiness. Salman gave two blockbuster hits that went in to join the 100 Crore Club. His movie Kick did have a kick ass start with the film crossing 100cr within the first week of its release. 'Jai Ho' was bashed by the critics but still made a total of 111 crores at the box office. 2014 turned to be a fruitful year for Salman as his little sister Arpita Khan got married and he safely escaped from his pending judicial cases.
Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan landed in many controversies revolving his film P.K. Aamir Khan shocked the audience with his nude poster of 'P.K.' The poster was criticised by many people terming it to be vulgar. After the release of the movie it was again surrounded by controversies, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists demanded for a ban on P.K. and attacked theatres across India opposing the screening. But many Bollywood celebrities came out in support of the movie. However, amidst all this the movie still crossed 200cr mark at the domestic box office.
Year 2014 was a bumpy ride for the Nawab of Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan. This year he had three releases Humshakals, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil and Happy Ending. All his three movies didn't do wonders at the box office ratings but somehow managed to sail ashore.
We wish our Khans All the best and hope 2015 turns out to be fruitful for them.
