I'm new to this fandom, like 10 years late, and I just finished watching all seasons of BBC Merlin.

I'm sooo convinced that Merlin could've saved Morgana if he just revealed he had magic too, or if the writing explored the Mergana feels, it would explain why either of them felt so strongly as to not kill each other even when they had multiple chances to do so. Lost opportunity on probably the coolest angst ship they could've had!
