"Tu" ka usage Mumbai mein bhot common hai...

In fact, e.g. Marathi mein... bhot common hai apne parents ko "Tu" karke bulaana.... To agar mehmaan aaye ya strangers honge, toh tum respect doge saying "Aapan (Aap)"... lekin maa - baap are considered so close ki "Tu" is used to convey that closeness....

So no feel bad.. its a language...

"Tu Tum ya Aap, words se don't kisike intenions naap."😆

I consider 'tu' rude and never used it w/ anybody.  However, reading about riots where the murderers would address their victims as 'tu', I now use it exclusively for people I consider my enemies

Otherwise normally, it's just 'aap' and 'tum' for me
