It was 4 in the early morning when they reached a nearby hospital. They admitted the girl there.

The doctor came it was 5 in the morning, asked” Who took her here ?””

“We, ” Prithvi replied

Sanyogita couldn't forget the scene when she saw the girl. She was still in shock.

“, we have to inform the patient's family members. She has been tortured physically,and raped repeatedly, it’s gang rape. There is both anal and vaginal rupture in her body. We have to inform the police too “

"I think we should go back home. You aren't looking good to see, you need rest and tight sleep for 6 hours straight ." Prithvi squeezed Sanyogita's right hand by his left and and embraced her with his tight arm.

It was still raining outside. There were only two of them sitting in the waiting room. He
checked his wrist watch which showed 5.50 mins in the morning.

Sanyogita, who was resting her head on her husband's shoulder for so long, didn't utter a word since the last time she saw the girl. She felt those two eyes when the former saw the latter for the first time near the forest area. Her body was shivering in anxiety.

Prithvi understood what was going through her, he patted her back and stroked her head.

" Jaan come with me, we should leave for home right now"

This time her lips parted, and she said in a whispered" before that can I see her "

Prithvi nodded his head and replied" yes "
They talked to the doctor who disclosed to them that the girl needed to be kept under 48 hours of observation, and sedatives were given to her.

She asked before leaving for the Doctor " did anyone amongst the girl's family members come.. I mean have you people got any trace of her closer ?" "

" Yes, we informed…

The doctor couldn't complete his sentence. They saw a lady in her mid-forties, she was wearing a normal Cotton saree. A teenage girl was with a lady who could be between 14 -16 in age. Both came and without any word walked ahead beside the spot where Sanyogita was talking to the doctor. She noticed the lady and girl both taking steps towards the cabin where the girl was admitted. She was curious to watch the lady and the girl.

Prithvi asked her to leave as they were getting late but Sanyogita didn't respond as if she didn't hear him.

Sanyogita started walking ahead, Prithvi was calling her name repeatedly,

But neither she stopped nor did she answer him. Rather she came and stood outside the cabin and peeked through the window glass, the interior scenario was terrifying, it could melt even a stone heart.

So much medical equipment engrossed the torn, powerless body like the way creepers wrapped a big banyan tree. Sanyogita noticed those black brush marks on her exposed eyes, cheeks, and lips. Her entire body was covered with a blue cotton hospital gown which was again hidden under a white blanket up to the chest of the girl. There was a neck brace.

It was clear to her that the lady was the mother of the girl and that the teenage girl was perhaps her younger sister. She saw both the lady and her younger daughter sobbing.

Sanyogita kept her hand on the glass, her heart twisting seeing the pathetic condition of the girl. Suddenly she felt someone touch her shoulder,

"Now Let's go"

She didn't respond, her eyes were still glued to the site of the interior.

" We are getting late Jaan "

As soon hearing this, Sanyogita turned back to him.

Prithvi's heart missed a beat, he saw her eyes were dammed in water, sensing the suddenly arisen nervousness with her he understood immediately he should take her away from the side unless the environment would eat her in passing minutes.

“ They don't have a heart !! how they tear apart the girl like hungry wild animals, Nobody imagined to commit such  heinous crime even to their Soft toy
.Why do those monsters leave the girl to die in tremendous pain ?? Don't there heart explode before thinking to commit this sin “ Sanyogita’s voice choked

“Jaan, they will get their punishment “ he embrace her in his arms and added “ now we have to return home, huuh!”””

Sanyogita raised her face and looked at him “ Yes you're right all those monsters should get death sentences, we should informed to the Police , and we should lodged a complaint against those woman-eater monsters “

Prithvi licked his dry lips, he knew she needed deep sleep unless it would be bad for her health. He realised perhaps he would be rude but for the sake of his wife and their baby he had to be.

" Sanyo we have done our duty now let's go"

" What do you mean we have done our duty!!.." She glared at him astonished "
How could you say that … I didn't expect this not at least from you "

Prithvi shot a sharp glance at her " Sanyo, bahut ho gaya, now let's go" he voiced
cold-hearted

Sanyogita looked at him with weak eyes, her lips were trembling but didn't make a word. She turned back once to the girl and then saw the lady and the girl both came out from the cabin after a prolonged period.

He took her away from the site before the situation slipped out of his hands. He didn't want to be involved in any mess as he could sense what would come next , but his fear turned into reality when he saw the Police talking with the Doctor.

“Mr. Prithviraj Malhotra, we heard from the doctor that you and your wife admitted the girl, Miss Riddhima, here in the hospital. We want to talk to you both, regarding the incident “ Sanyogita scrutinised the Officer with a frown.

Zunaid said " we already talked to the family last night and they lodged a complaint about the missing diary. She was returning from a birthday party with a college friend. "

Prithvi stared at the man he wasn't in any uniform, guessing his questionable eyes of him, the man showed his identity card to Prithvi

“Zunaid Yusuf Imam Mallick , crime branch special Mumbai “

Prithvi looked at him with a frown that suddenly disappeared, he could guess what sort of inquiries should be asked of them.

Sanyogita stood there unblinking, she was happy to see the police there but before she could ask heard Prithvi to replied

“Officer, what do you want from us? Whatever we have to say when we already do that, we told the doctor to talk to him. Right now my wife and I are both tired. We need rest. thank you“

Prithvi was about to come out of the situation along with Sanyogita but Zunaid interrupted them

“Mr. Malhotra it’s a rape case you are aware of it very well and we heard from the doctor your wife found the girl first so we are curious to know whether she found anything more strange in the spot so it would help us to know the further details “

“No, ACP she didn't find anything more “ It was again Prithvi who was looking disinterested

Zunaid glanced at Sanyogita who shifted her gaze once Prithvi then looked at the Officer. Zunaid noticed the clothes of the couple.

Prithvi’s white shirt was smeared with blood. On the other hand, Sanyogita’s beige net embroidered saree was full of blood even though her white pearl necklace had few blood marks.

“Mr. Malhotra we heard from the ward boys when you two brought the victim here in the hospital she was covered by your black coat.

“So, what is your meaning by saying like that ?””Prithvi sounded hyper

“I’m trying to say that you both show humanity. Nowadays hardly anyone extends the hand of help in such critical conditions, here rich businessmen do such things …
Prithvi cut him in a shot “ Officer, rich businessmen also are human they also have a heart so …

“Mr. Malhotra why are getting hyper I’m just talking to you normally “
Sanyogita noticed the sudden tension within him, she parted her lips before he could

“Officer, It’s true I found the girl near the forest side and I was terrified to see her. Then I called for my husband, she was still alive. So I decided to admit her to the hospital without delay. I told my husband to take off his coat, then we made her lie on the passenger seat. I was sitting with the girl, I kept her head on my lap and my husband was steering the wheel.

It was 4 in the morning when we admitted the girl. And whatever my husband and I did, it's humanity, it's nothing like rich or poor. Danger did not arrive seeing the status, it just come “

“Officer, you get your answer so we may leave ?” Prithvi sounded anxious

“Mrs. Malhotra, can you elaborate on the things in detail about how and when you found the girl? whether there you had seen anyone I mean among those culprits “

“No officer, I didn't find anyone there except the girl …But I remember how we met the girl..Our car suddenly stopped on the road …” Sanyogita said everything in details

Zunaid was listening to her with full concentration at the end of her description, he said “Thank you, Mrs Malhotra “

“Officer, it’s my humble request please arrest thode criminals as soon as possible “
“Sure, we will try our best “

Zunaid left the couple and took steps toward the family of the victims. Sanyogita looked at Prithvi who gave her an unpredictable glance .

Zunaid talked with the mother and sister of the victims, but he was surprised when the lady requested him she didn't want to lodge any complaint , they found their daughter had nothing else they wanted.

Despite the umpteen insistence of Prithvi, Sanyogita didn't listen to him . She heard the
conversation between the victim's mother and Zunaid Yusuf Imam Mallick . She too was shocked that they were denying to continue the investigation

Zunaid left the place.

Sanyogita took the opportunity and decided to talk to the mother in private

" Namastey Aunty, Mrs. Sanyogita Prithviraj Malhotra" she gave her introduction followed by taking a seat on the waiting room bench near the mother. The Lady looked at her with a frown, those creases across her questionable eyes
disappeared gradually

" Ohh you are the one who admitted my daughter here, you saved my girl. I'll always remain grateful to you " she with torn powerless voice

The lady starts muttering " now everyone will get to know about it .. what will happen. What will happen at Renuka's school when everybody will mocked her in the name of her elder sister"

Sanyogita heard the whisper, she was feeling very bad and then glanced to the side where her younger daughter was sitting. Suddenly something knocked her inside.

" What will happen when At Sanyo's school when everybody will mock in the name Of you "

" Maa don't beat me I'm sorry, It wasn't my fault. I promise you nobody will raise a question about me to my chutki . Her Di will never let anyone throw melancholy in the family "
Sanyogita returns to her reality, she controls her emotions

" Aunty, I heard you withdrawing the complaint. Why did you do that ?? Why didn't you want to give punishment to those culprits "
" What will we get by doing so?? My daughter isn't in that condition to fight anything else.

Press, media, people when they get the trace of this case what name they will give her you couldn't imagine that. They will tag her as… " she put her pallu on her mouth

" Mrs . Malhotra I'm begging you don't tell anyone anything about my daughter. Please. Let She lives in peace. We don't want any help from the police. "
Sanyogita looked at both the mother and daughter with dejection.

Suddenly they heard footsteps. The lady was conscious she normalised herself.
Sanyogita turned back and saw Prithvi.
She shifted back her face to the mother and Said " Aunty..now I'm leaving but soon I'll come to see Ridhima and please think about my suggestion. "

Before leaving she glanced over the mother and daughter once again.

On the way

Sanyogita said Prithvi a lot of things to Prithvi but he didn't respond to her .
When they reached the Malhotra mansion everyone was as shocked as asked the
duo bombardment of questions

They all were terrified seeing their blood-stained clothes . Prithvi told them
everything.

Nilima was frightened after hearing her Daughter.. Even her heart twisted for the family and also for the girl. But she prayed thousands of times for gratitude as her daughter and son-in-law returned home safely.

Sambhavi suggested that they go to their room and get fresh afterward while they were reading breakfast.

In the bedroom,

Sanyogita came out of the bathroom after taking a shower. She was in her bathrobe. She asked Prithvi consistently to say something but he said with a shaped glance

" Sanyo, from today you will never meet that family again. "

" But why ?" "

" Because I don't want you to meet them that's why "

" What logic is there ?? And what happened to you all of a sudden ?? Why are they saying these things??.. "

" Please try to understand " she turned him toward her

" Since the last night I couldn't forget the incidence from my mind, Riddhima's face was coming whenever I blink "

Prithvi took a deep sigh, he held her shoulders "Jaan you need rest we will have our breakfast. You need your medications too, after that you need a long deep sleep okay …""

Sanyogita looked at him with astonishment she was going to speak

Prithvi gave a peak on her right cheek. Then I saw him open the wardrobe and took out a suit for her and then kept those things on the bed.

He kneels before her, fondled her waist, and kissed her belly.

" Good morning Princess, you are angry with Mamma because she didn't feed you . I know my Princess is hungry . But don't worry Daddy will take care of you . Tonight we will go to watch a movie and then we will go shopping ..Today I'll buy toys dresses for my princess....then…" Prithvi took a pause " Baby , Daddy now will talk to Mamma Don't heard this okay"

He kissed once again on her Belly
Sanyogita stared at him , a pleasant smile crept on her lips seeing him caring for their
upcoming baby .

Prithvi stood up and wrapped his lady love in between his arms pulled her closer to his chest

" My gorgeous wifey tonight we have a romantic candle night dinner too then ..if you want me to add anything extra it will be pleasurable for me " he tried to show her naughty, he nuzzled his nose on her cheeks tracing down in her neck.

Sanyogita wasn't in a mood she stop him on the way " please I'm not now " she was looking irritated

Prithvi stopped, understanding her uneasiness, instead he kissed her forehead, and said with enthusiasm " ..You love ice cream…but not much as you can catch the cold …I'll takes to long drive very soon and we will celebrate thirty first night evening in Taj okk  "and "" he sounded childish

She was staring at him, he gave her an amused smile as if nothing happened.
With a gesture of eyes, he told her to get ready immediately.

" Okay I'm going downstairs I'll be waiting for you at t the breakfast table"
Before leaving he kissed her left cheek just once.

Prithvi exhales a sigh. He could read her what she wanted from him but he was helpless too.

She didn't have any idea what could come if she dragged her into the case. For the sake of his wife and baby's safety, he had to be cruel .

Here inside the room, Sanyogita stood in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection.

" No Prithvi, how much you are trying to ignore the fact and to do your best to divert my mind. You know that I could guess from your actions that you are worried for both me and our baby. That's why you pretend to be Normal. But This time nobody can stop me. Those demons have to get punished.
I'll not stop … no never. “
