This story is soo unique and sooo new. The more it’s moving forward, the more I am feeling connected to the characters.
Ab Kalyani ko samajh mein aarahi hain uski galti and atul is doing the right thing. Kyunki Malhar se agar Kalyani maafi maangti Sacchi dil se, toh fir no matter what Malhar would have done, it can never be enough in front of the rudeness Kalyani has shown towards Malhar. Kalyani ne apne uss dard ki saza Malhar ko di jisme Malhar ne janbujhke kuch nehi kiya tha.
Loved how sweet Raghav is and how beautiful Malhar is to be doing all this for a prisoner’s family. Loved the thought.
The scene where Kalyani sat beside him and Malhar could feel her perfume was soo delicate. Specially him getting his answer made me smile❤️
The throwback part is written so nicely di. It could easily be separated from the present. Maine Aaj aapse seekh liya toh future mein meri kisi story mein agar aise past ta koyi incident ho toh main bhi issi way mein likhungi🥳🥳
And we got to know some more details about the sad past they all have been through. It feels really bad for Sampada and atharva as they had their perfect Love story but the fate had other plans, for KalMa also…

I just love the chemistry between Atul and malhar. How he protects his son in law like a mother hen. Kalyani has started to introspect her actions and want to patch up with malhar but yes circumstances ke vajah se ho nahi paa rahi he.her dilema is beautifully portrayed here. The way you write na di you give such small details.that we are able to visualise the entire scene before our eyes actually. The way she pins his hair was sooo cute. And raghav malhar ka bond bhi kaafi acha laga how he support raghav and his family. Pillu ka entry hogaya abhi vo kaha he kiske saath he or did I miss something somewhere 🤔.would like to know more about their past and how they ended up marrying. Poor sampu athu perfect love story tha. Par koi nahi dekhte he aage aage kya hotha he . Thanks di for keeping kalma alive through your stories.❤️❤️❤️

Sarthak scratched his head and looked at his grandson.

Sarthak lowered his gaze.

Aisa bhai jo tumhe iss kursi pe bitakar khud sukhi jeevan jee raha hai…!! aur apna jeevan dekho…!! pata hai kitna dard hota hai mujhe ki tum pehle jaise nahi reh sakte…!! iss ghar me tumhari biwi bankar jise aana tha woh bhi chali gayi…!! agar tum wakt pe pohonch gaye hote toh woh bhi zinda hoti…! tumhara ye nanha sa bacha apne maa ko nahi khota…"

Laur wahan tumne mera saat dene ke bajay unka saat diya…."
"Aai..please yeh sab baatein chodo aur hume ab jaane do….thodi der bhai ko dekhkar aaya toh mera man behel jayega…Tum jaldi se Dhruv ko tayyar kar do warna mai use aise hi le jaunga…"
Anupriya grumbling in her mind went to get the baby ready.
The bell rang and Kalyani opened the door.
"Hi Kalyani…!!", Sourav smiled at her.
"Hi..!!", Kalyani smiled back at him and her eyes went to the female officer standing beside him.
"Ah…!! ye ACP Sowmya Shinde hai…Malhar se Milne aayi hain.."
"Sowmya, meet Kalyani…Malhar ki patni.."
They greeted each other.
"Please come in…." Kalyani welcomed her.
Sourav and Sowmya walked in and went to meet Malhar.
Kalyani went behind them and stood near the entrance as Sowmya pulled up the chair and sat near Malhar's bed.
He was surprised to see her, "Sowmya..!! Tum yahan…Pune me…?"
"Tum aise beemar hokar ghar pe kaid rahoge… toh kya karen…Aana pada mujhe…transfer leke…!! Ab kaise ho..?"
"Mai Teekh hun…transfer ho gaya tumhara.. .?", he struggled to get up and sit.
Kalyani rushed in to help him but stopped on her tracks when she saw Sowmya holding his shoulders and helping him sit resting on the propped pillows.
"Haan…do din pehle aayi hun…! Kya khaakh teekh ho tum..? Kabhi bhi apna khayal nahi rakhte…!!", she rolled her eyes.
"Thank you..! Uh..!! Tum bait jao…."
Kalyani asked loudly, "Coffee ya chai..Kya lenge aap sab...?"
Malhar turned, hearing her voice, "Kalyani tumhe takleef karne ki zaroorat nahi hai… Raghav ko bula do…"
"Raghav so raha hai..?"
"Iss Wakt..?"
"Ab use neend aa gayi toh Mai kya karun…? Cross questioning khatam ho gayi ho toh bata dijiye kya lenge…'
"Chai…!! Sowmya ko chai pasand hai…,,!! Sourav adjust kar lega….!!" Malhar said promptly, looking at Sowmya.
Kalyani's eyes widened hearing her husband which didn't go unnoticed by Sourav. He smiled to himself.
"Haan bhai…!!! ab mujhe toh adjust hi karna padega….!! bichde hue dost jo mil gaye…!! Chalo tum donon baat karo…Mai Kalyani ki madad kar deta hun…"
"Nahi..!! nahi..!! Sourav..!! Aa..aap thak gaye honge…!! yahin.. aaram se baitiye…!! Mai aapkeliye coffee leke aaungi…!! Yahin rahiye..!!"
Sourav raised his one eyebrow at her and winked, "Oh….!!! Yeh bhi sahi hai…tumhare haat ki coffee jo mil rahi hai…!!"
He got up and went to stand closer to Kalyani, "Don't worry….!! Mai yahan se hilunga nahi…!!", he chuckled, seeing Kalyani blush a deep red as she went out of the room.
When Kalyani was making tea, Raghav came there, "Didi…Mai karta hun….aap…"
Kalyani turned and glared at him, "Chup chap jaake papa ke kamre me so jao…aur tum tab tak nahi utoge jab tak Mai na kahun…Jao…!! abhi…!!"
Raghav gulped seeing her so irritated and hurried away from there.
Kalyani had served everyone tea and snacks.
After a while Atharv and Sarthak arrived. Atharv handed baby Dhruv to her and maneuvered his wheelchair to his brother's room closely followed by Sarthak.
"Bhai…!! Ye kya kiya Bhai..? Kabhi apni safety ke baare me sochoge ya nahi…? Mujhe iss haalat me akela chodna chahte ho…? Baat nahi karni tumse…"
"Atharv..!! Mera bhai…!! Aaj toh bohot saare surprises mil rahe hain mujhe..!! lekin ye kya..! aate hi apni bakwaas shuru kar di…ye nahi ki bhai par thoda pyar barsayen..mujhe bhi nahi karni tumse baat.."
"Wah…!! Bhai ho toh aise….wahan apni maa se ladke aaye ho… hamareliye curfew time bhi laga hai… apne bhai se ache se mil lo..", Sarthak slapped his forehead and went to meet Atul.
"Acha Malhar….ab mai chalti hun…kal se duty join kar rahi hun…toh kuch aur kaam bhi niptana hai..", Sowmya took her leave and asked Sourav to book a cab for her.
Malhar started to get up but Kalyani stopped him.
"Aap Atharv ke saat wakt bithaiye…aapki dost ko mai cab tak chod deti hun.."
Kalyani walked Sowmya to the cab.
Sowmya held her hand, "Thank you for the lovely tea..!! Fikar mat karo Kalyani…! Malhar mujhse pyar nahi karta hai…",
Kalyani looked at her, "Aur aap..?"
Sowmya smiled wryly, "Ab uska koi matlab nahi hai…wakt rehte maine use nahi bataya…aur ab woh wakt mere haat se nikal gaya…"
Kalyani didn't know what to say but she could feel that the other woman had really loved Malhar.
"Please bura mat maanna…Malhar keliye mai sirf ek achi dost thi, hun aur humesha sirf dost hi rahungi… he never had any other feeling…"
Kalyani just looked at her not knowing what to say.
"I'm not sure if you realized it but he only has feelings for you. He loves you.."
Kalyani smiled and nodded her head, "I love him too…"
Sowmya patted her shoulder and smiled, "Be happy together…!! bohot acha insaan hai Malhar…!! Mai bas yahi chahti hun ki woh hamesha khush rahe….!! aur sach me Kalyani…!! fikar mat karo…mere wajah se tum donon ke beech koi problem nahi hogi…,!! mere mummy papa mujhe aise nahi chodenge…!! dundke rahenge use jo mereliye bana hai..."
"All the best…and I'm really happy to meet you Sowmya…"
She got into the cab and they waved a bye to each other.
Kalyani went in.
All the men were busy chatting.
Raghav was busy in the kitchen.
Dhruv was crawling on the floor looking around for something interesting.
She picked up the baby into her arms and swirled twice making him giggle.
Then she went to sit on the porch steps with him on his lap.
"Mela bacha…miss kiya mujhe…? Bohot badmashi karke apni Ajji ko sata toh nahi raha hai na..? Kuch toh bol…? Kab bolega…? Bash aishe Gu..Gu..ga..ga…hi karte rahoge kya..? Hmm..?"
She kissed on top of his soft head.
"Tum mujhe kya bulaoge…waise pehle mai tumhari Maasi hun...lekin tum na… mujhe Badi Maa hi bulana…wahi sahi rishta hoga…hai na..?"
She hugged him tight and showered kisses on him.
At Malhar's insistence Atharv, Sarthak and Sourav stayed back for dinner. They were all eating dinner at the table as Malhar was bored of being stuck in his room.
His eyes were only at his wife. She looked beautiful as she tenderly fed the kid his meal. It made him want to go and take both of them into his arms.
Nahi Malhar..please apne dimaag aur dil donon ko kabu me rakhna…
He swiftly wiped away the tear that had unknowingly escaped his eye.
The ringing phone stopped his thoughts abruptly.
It was Raghav's phone.
"Hello..!! Amma…!! Haan Mai Teekh hun…Tum kaisi ho aur Babli..?"
His face grew a bit tense hearing the other side.
"Amma..lekin abhi Mai kaise as sakta hun…Bhaiya ki tabiyat kharab hai…"
"-----"
"Acha Mai puchke tumhe baadme phone karta hun…"
After his conversation he looked at everyone.
"Kya hua Raghav….? Koi pareshaani…?", Malhar asked.
"Woh…!! Bhaiya…!! Amma ki tabiyat thodi kharab hai…woh chahti hai mai thode din ghar aaun…"
"Toh tum mana kyun kar rahe ho…? tumhe jaldi jaana Chahiye…", Atul said.
"Lekin Saab..!! Bhaiya..!!"
"Mai teekh hun Raghav…!! tumhe apne maa ke paas jaana chahiye…! jaldi apna Samaan pack karo…Mai taxi book kar deta hun.."
"Uski zaroorat nahi hai Malhar… Mai use ghar tak chod deta hun…Mai bas nikal hi raha hun…" Sourav got up.
Everyone had left and Kalyani was clearing up the kitchen. She heard a soft argument between her dad and husband.
"Baba…!! Aap farsh par bistar lagake nahi soyenge…,!! Mai Teekh hun..akele so sakta hun…aap please pareshan mat hoiye.."
"Lekin Malhar…tumhe agar aadhi raat ko kuch madad chahiye ho toh…"
"Agar aisa kuch hua toh mai aapko bula lunga…"
"Tum zid kar rahe ho…"
"Nahi Baba…agar aapko mere bed pe sona ho toh chaliye mere saat warna aap uss kamre me hi aaram se so jaiye…aap farsh pe nahi soyenge…bas..!!"
"Koi bhi pareshani ho toh turant phone karoge na…?"
"Haan…"
"Vadha karo…"
Malhar smiled, "Pakka vadha…"
"Teekh hai..good night…Chalo tum pehle..phir mai jaunga…"
Both men retired.
Kalyani finished her work and switched off the lights, settling herself on the sofa.
She was wide awake but couldn't toss and turn on the sofa so she sat up and yawned.
She wanted to check on her husband and so she tiptoed inside the room. He was sleeping soundly.
Her dad was right…what if he needed anything during the night. Raghav was not here… Maybe she should sleep in this room…just in case…
She went to bring her bedsheets and pillow from the sofa and laid them neatly on the floor.
Laying down, she gazed at the ceiling for a while, tried closing her eyes, tossed and turned to her sides, but she felt uncomfortable laying on the floor and her back hurt.
She got up and thought of sleeping in a sitting position and put the chair near the bed. Stretching herself as best as possible on the chair, she closed her eyes. Soon enough her neck was aching.
"Uff….itni neend aa rahi hai…!!", She whined to herself.
The other side of Malhar's bed was empty and inviting to her tired and sleepy head. She didn't want to think more and she just laid on the bed, breathing in relief, finally being able to lay with some comfort.
She turned herself facing him seeing his hairs blowing softly in the fan's wind. The blanket looked big enough to share and she pulled up the other end on herself. But it didn't give her enough coverage as she was at a farther end. So she pulled it lightly and got herself a good portion but saw that his side had come off, leaving him uncovered.
"Urrgghhh….!!" She grumbled exhausted with her trials and just moved herself a little closer to him, covering up both of them.
His scent was faintly hitting her senses and she felt an urge to move even more closer and snuggle into his neck but she held herself, not wanting to disturb his sleep.
Sometime time into the night, Malhar felt his throat was dry and parched. Opening his eyes, he tried to sit up and found her arm on his stomach. He turned his head to see her comfortably asleep beside him. His sleep had flown away after that.
Were his eyes deceiving him or was it really Kalyani beside him?
Why…? Was the question which popped into his mind.
He had been sensing a subtle change in her after this incident. She had been outwardly showing care but he certainly hadn't expected to find her in his bed.
He carefully moved her arm and got out of the bed. First he drank water to soothe his throat. His eyes fell on the bedsheets and pillow lying on the floor.
He ran his fingers through his hair, Maybe she had been laying down here as Raghav was not here and her back might have ached and she had opted to lay on the bed.
Yes…!! Malhar tumhe jyada nahi sochna chahiye…Kalyani ko aaram ki neend lene do … tum toh pura din rest hi kar rahe the….
He let her sleep comfortably and sat down on the chair, stretching his legs in front.
He couldn't help admiring her beautiful face and her lustrous hair spread on the pillow. He didn't sleep the rest of the time and sat there mesmerised in her.
In the other room, Atul was smiling to himself. A few hours earlier he had woken up to check on Malhar. He had come out of his room and had seen Kalyani going in. An hour or so later, he had again come out but seen his daughter missing from the sofa along with her bedding. He couldn't help being happy. May be his daughter was slowly and finally realising....
