Bidaai Girls with SRK - Rediff Article

Sharing kisses with SRK!

This weekend, Shah Rukh Khan will rub shoulders and share kisses with the Bidaai sisters, Sara Khan (Sadhna) and Parul Chauhan (Ragini) on Star Plus' Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hai?.

The actresses, who star in the popular soap on Star Plus, are still recovering from their exciting experience.

"It was a wonderful experience for me," Parul says. "I still remember the day when the executive producer of the show asked me if I was willing to participate in the contest. Without thinking too much, Sarah and I agreed. Only then did it strike me that we would share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan!"

Angad Hasija aka Alekh is not at all over the moon but is very much grounded over the fact that he has been nominated in 3 categories for Star Parivaar Awards - Favourite Naya Sadasya (Male), Favorite Jodi with Sadhana and Favourite Beta for his serial Bidaai.

His character has been appreciated in the serial so he was quite confident of getting nominated and he thinks that, "I have already got my award just by getting nominated and I am not thinking about winning the trophy at all".

"The actor's job is to perform and not think about whom he/she has to compete with. As far as I am concerned I do not find anybody to be my competitor. I enjoy whichever character I play," says Alekh.

On the other hand, Alekh is quite excited that he will be performing on the awards nite and is practicing hard to get his act right. However, he refuses to give details about the performance and in fact wants the audience to watch the performance and enjoy it.

Sara Khan and Angad Hasiji, who play the lead roles of Sadhna and Alek in Bidaai and make one of the sweetest on screen couples, have apparently fallen for each other in real life too.

Indian Soap Cliches

The great Indian eye-wash | 2008-03-03

A roundup of the most common cliches on Indian Soaps

If you've got half a ticking mind even, you would agree how silly Indian TV soaps can get. Tailored mainly for the bored or the mentally infirm, their stories are unimaginative, the characters predictable, with a set of standard rules that almost seem to defy logic and sometimes even the space-time continuum!

These soaps seem to have the motto 'When I grow up, I want to be a B-grade Hindi movie'.
