The film Mein Ek Din Laut Kay Aaaonga hit the cinemas on 27th April 2007.Directed by Muhummad Javaid Fazil,who directed a film after a long gap of 10 years,produced by Shoaib Alam of Super Music Masti Ltd UK.The film's cast include Humyun Saeed,Ahmed Butt,Saba Pervaiz,Nadeem Baig,Javaid Shiekh and Nausheen Ali Sardar with Pooja Kanwal from India.Interestingly the film is shot in India because of lack of technical facilities in Pakistan.It was shot in Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad and other studios as well.
The films story revolves around a family consisting of a mother,Saba Perivaiz,her son,Ahmed Butt and his sister.They are living happily and a girl enters Ahmed Butt life played by Pooja Kanwal.From this point the story takes twits and turns which makes the viewer glued to the screen.I will not reveal the story more becuase if I do,I am sure you will not enjoy the movie to the full extent.
The film's story was pretty old,but the treatment and a bit of freshness given to it is the main thing.
Lets start of with Javaid Fazil's direction.He is somewhat sucssesful in making the viewer glued to screen espeacially in the first half.The director has directed some very intense scens with great way.In one intense scene a snake is over Humyun Saeeds neck and he has to remove it.The camera angles and the excitment created in that scene is soo much that at the end ur revelied.
The camerawork of the film was excellent.Scenes like Ahmed Butt falling off from the cliff,The scence in which Humyun Saeed attacks Javed Shiekh in his house,all the action scenes have been handeld and picturised well.Espeacially mentioning here the songs which are the highlights of the film are pleasure to watch,Great!
Now lets come to the acting department.Humyun Saeed is a television rockstar and has proven that he is a film material also.Nadeem Baig,although he had a small role but there was somewhat magical about his character and acting that I regard it as the most important character in the film.Jawed Shiekh was good but left audience demanding for more.Saba Pervaiz and Ahmed Butt sister were good.Now lets come to the leading ladies.Pooja Kanwal has performed really well and is really promising upcoming star.From this film she has established herself as a good film star.Not only she looks beautiful but has acted well also.Now Nausheen Ali Sardar.Looks beautfiul and glamourus(espeacially in her glam number Dum Dum Laga...)and acted well also but somewhat it was felt she was wasted and she didnt fit in her role.
Now lets come to the music.Excellent music composed by Jawad Ahmed and the beautiful picturisation of the songs polishes them also.The most popular song of the film "Dil Key Taar"sang by Jawad Ahmed and the legendary Asha Bhosle was the best.All the songs were good.
The action and stunts are fabulous and are new for Pakistani cinema.
Overall,Mein Ek Din...is a good film but due to its genre it may not be a blockbuster but a hit for sure.

The film is earning good at the Box-Office.The public has liked the movie alot but the media hasnt.Many of the newspapers are publishing negative reviewes of the movie but the main thing is that public has liked it and it is doing well in cinemas.It will be releasing in UK in July.Interestingly all the negative and positive reviews have appreciated the camerawork,soundtrack and acting of all leading stars of the film.

The film's song Dil Key Taar...got on air on nearly every music channel before the release of the film and became a hit.Later few days back,another song of the film "Suno Piya-Remix"got on air and is being liked.The song contain many clips of the film.
