Aamir Khan is one such Bollywood actor who always manages to pass social and political messages through his movies. The actor prefers scripts that bring enlightenment in the society over family drama or romance scripts. The actor director has delivered some outstanding movies in the past and with films like Dangal, PK, 3 Idiots, Secret Superstar and more, he has managed to convey social messages to the audiences.

The actor is now heading on to his next project titled as Laal Singh Chaddha.

The film is a remake of the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump, which featured Tom Hanks in the lead role. Directed by Advait Chandan, the Hindi remake also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, besides Aamir in the titular role. The film will showcase some of India’s most controversial landmarks and several important developments in the country that changed the course of the nation.

Lal Singh Chaddha is not just a film. It will be a reference for the world to see what happened in India in the past few years like how the Paramount film Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks, did with reference to the US. Similarly, Lal Singh Chaddha will show Aamir meeting important political and historical personalities in VFX laden visuals. It will also show specific instances like the Babri Masjid demolition to other current political and national happenings like the formation of the Modi government and more. What Aamir and director Advair Chandan clearly understand is that the film’s political symbolism at many places will have different interpretations and hence, they are assuring that it will not rake up too much controversy and will not inadvertently create trouble for the film.

- Deccan Chronicle reported

Despite being politically aware, the Dangal actor has a controversial past owing to his views on intolerance in the country. Thus, it will be interesting to watch his stance with his upcoming film, Lal Singh Chaddha, which is slated to release next year.
