Hey snehal glad u back! Thanksgiving is 2nd biggest holiday after christmas. Google will give more info but on this day entire nation, the president, Macy's parade in new york city all THANK the lord for giving abundance. Frankly i dont even know the actual significance as just go with the flow and eat all sorts of specific kind of food americans and the restaurants make marked by turkey meat, cranberry sauce, the stuffing, mashed potatoes, pineapple pie. Seema of course knows much more becoz its strictly family get together and they all thank the lord for providing abundance. Its always on last Thursday of the month.
I should educate myself by actually googling. When i was living in the city where entire family has been living for decades including mother, it was a special day as my late bada bhai's wife is white american and is known to make best turkey stuffing. It had become like a ritual when after eating around 4sh in the afternoon, we would play 5-card poker (was talking about it in a thread that goolab had opened wishing happy thanksgiving to all US residents. here's link if u interested to browse thru, just 2-3 pages. She lives in canada and i dont know if they celebrate there.
Quickly went thru musical thread as ret'd to forum only moments ago. Was out several hours and doing masti with friends, neighbors. I notice all the thanksgiving images vanished AGAIN on pg 108 on pov post.ðŸ˜
TC and its ninni time 11 pm, 11 am IST. Gosh the difference in time sometimes gets to me. But such is life.
