We were just discussing this internally few days back with regards to IPL team and we can show the team whom we are supporting. And idea we were exploring was to have similar systems for different forums.

So in IPL forum it would be IPL Teams and For Bigg Boss it would be BB contestants and similarly the same thing for other forums which the mods of those forum decide.. 😊

Will be exploring it further if it gets enough votes ..

This would really be a great feature and give a sense of belonging to the member. Only hitch maybe for those who support a couple/two contestants. If we can find a way around it, would be really great. We can even consider this for other competition based shows like Khatron ke Khiladi or Indian Idol, etc.

I think this is a good idea … specially where busy people don’t need to type replies but acknowledge the receipt …specially helpful in foll cases

**Members sending banners to ContestEntries for participation ..they don’t need to contact someone again to ask if their entries were received or not .

**GMs or CMs receiving the forum banner for hoisting.

**Moderators /viewbies giving permission for opening various threads to members ..

**receiving PMs for lowering WLs

In the new Fan Fiction Section, can we add more genres like tragedy, psychological, paranormal, supernatural, etc?

Plus, it would be very helpful if both writers and readers could create multiple libraries to sort the stories into different categories. For example, I like to read FFs on Beyhadh and original fiction, but there are too many good stories. If I could create two separate libraries and sort my favorite stories in them, it would be easier to track them down. The same goes for the writers.

Is it possible to introduce a notification system for the forums so that whenever a writer will post a story based on a particular show, we'll get a notification and add it to our library?

How is this gonna work, coz if the reference wiill be the "FF graphicer" in the FF page, some people change their covers every month, and hence the FF graphicer credit keeps changing.

Everybody is free to write stories. Those who are interested in reading stories they will read irrespective of what that author writes. Badges aren’t given for the quality of the story but quantity. There are others contests, awards, featured stories that will get rewarded alag se. The whole idea is to encourage people to write. And their contribution to the site should be awarded I feel.

IMHO the new Fan Fiction section is an improvement and offers better user experience for Readers and writers.

Many authors will discover that when they migrate their fanfic to the new section they get followers who will be notified of new chapters and new stories.

There are few issues that it faces currently as I understand are:

1. The comment section looks less attractive compared to forum interaction.

2. Authors post on forums cause they feel they get more views there.

3. Report button missing.

4. Improve homepage to highlight different stories based on popularity, user’s interest.

5. Need to introduce Story Ratings System (similiar to how movies have General / PG / R etc) so that user have a clear idea on level of the story.

I am sure when we start on making our list we will discover more interesting ideas to improve that section.

I will soon create a separate Vote up Topic just for Fan Fiction as It will help us discuss in details the issues.

@Bold I agree, authors post in forum as they get more views may be because the show fan base hits forum more often then FF section. I tried to post just in forum rather than both FF section and forum and I got quicker and more comments in forum than I would get in FF section.

I would like to add it’s just beginning, we will eventually develop the FF section with more ideas coming in with all perspective from various readers as well as authors.

Also, I believe people click alone in the FF Section due to Graphics than read the entire FF versus the forum most of the time not always. May be because of less comments interaction in the FF section compared to Forums? But then it’s just began to attract authors and readers too soon to make any judgment atm.

The FFEs check the stories, if not read through the whole, we atleast make sure that the "story" opened isn't a spam/ad/anything which will clutter the section. If it's in our control, we delete it/notify the author or notify vijay(if it's beyond our control)

No. We just make sure it's a story, and it doesn't break major IF COC rules (wrt content and cover) we aren't here to police anyone, nor approve anyone, our job to is HELP authors and make posting stories on the FF section as easy as we can make it.

There are 1000+ stories on the FF section, can you imagine approving every single one of them? 🤣

I understand the use of diff font styles slows down the forum at user's end ..

But can you give us font styles to be used only in ONE line of the post ?

It's not that adding font style is not possible to make and may affect the look and feel of the site. And it is a challenge to render it properly on our Mobile apps.

Me likey! When we copy url of our account, it replaces the user-id no with "my profile" In the hyperlink and we get back the link to our own account, making it difficult to send our account link to someone else (especially the FFDT members and CC members when we want to hyperlink our account links to a contest post) so can this be fixed?
