Plugging in a celebrity to create awareness about some disease has been witnessed by all. Whether its Polio or Malaria, Aids or Dengue, celebrities have done it all! But how much do these stars know about the latest health updates? Are they aware of the latest disease which is doing the rounds in our city?

We at Tellychakkar.com decided to ask our beloved television personalities whether they are aware of "chikungunya."

Akashdeep Sehgal-Chickungunya? Wat gunya? I have never heard of this term in my life. I guess it's something to do with chicken, probably when someone is scared you refer to that person as chickungunya!

Gaurav Gera-Chiken wat? I certainly know what chicken is, but never heard about guniya? I think it's some disease which chickens or birds borne!

Iqbal Khan-Is it a disease? Well I have no clue what exactly it is, but I am pretty sure that it is a disease.
Gurdip Kohli-Chickungunya is a very weird name for a viral fever. It's a kind of an epidemic and recently my driver suffered from it. He was in a very bad shape.
Shama Sikander-What's that? This is the first time I am hearing this. Either it could be a disease or some world of chickens.

Gauri Tonk-Never heard, but what is it? Is it a disease or a dish? I assume it's a disease, something on the lines of chicken pox.

Rucha Gujarati-Of what I know, Chikungunya is a type of a viral fever in which one gets chilled fever and the joints pain. It's very difficult to walk.

And now for those uninitiated, Chikungunya is a relatively rare form of viral fever caused by an alphavirus that is spread by mosquito bites from the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
