Indian Beheaded In Afghanistan

There are people who are meant to be living in the JUNGLE, see no lights of WISDOM or IMPROVEMENT. And they hate the west and the people of other religion so much that they can man slaughter in the name of God. And think that GOD BLESS THEM!!!! Believe each and every word what their ignorant ancestors have been passing on them, and turn their face from PROGRESS and PROSPERITY. SHAME ON THEM, they attack the most vulnerable section of the people like women, children(watch the movie called "OSAMA", not on BIN LADEN but a little girl who pretended to be a boy to survive by calling herself "OSAMA") and the unarmed civilians. Their motive is to RETROGRADE when the whole world is moving FORWARD.

They hate West but you will always find them holding an AK47, driving Jeeps and posing on the top of the Patton Tank. They really know what good things to EMBRACE from the West.

Even though some of the points you bring up are correct, I think you are being a bit harsh. Secondly, I am not entirely clear on what you are saying but this seems to include something about Hindu/Muslim relations.

If not, please explain further. It sounds like to me that you are saying that an Indian (a Hindu) was killed by a Afghani (Muslim). Is that correct?

If you are just using this as an example and are discussing the fact that some people use religion to justify their actions- then I think this is a good topic.

I don't think anyone can blame a religion- its all on how one interprets it. And, just because one group commits certain crimes, a whole following of the religion should not be blamed. To those Afghanis who support terrorism, they are in the wrong, but the whole population can not be blamed. Their are those who have no choice or understanding that may help them stand up against wrongdoers.

No, of course I am not talking about all the Afghanis. It's the Talibans.

I did not try to belittle any religion, I despised their acts.

May be I did not made it clear since I did not talk much about the topic I qouted. Yes, my topic centres around the killing of Suryanarayan, the engg., where I talked about the killers and their infamous activities.

Well the Talibani's ( thats the ex- goverment of Afghanistan......U.S goverement over threw these people ) are straight from the Dark ages.

For those of you who don't know much about the Talibani's i had started a topic about how they destroyed the largest Buddha statute in the world since they despise all religons.

Also on the news was their football stadium that got converted into Public hanging spot who ever defied their ignorant rules.( It was covered by a Western reporter secretly). Public hanging became common!!

I have read several books about living under the Taliban rule and it horrifies and scares you. The life the poor Afghani's lived under Taliban sends shiver down your spine. Little children are only given a gun in their hand , not toys and books. Girls and women are given not an iota of freedom but are used like a possesion like cattle.

During the Taliban regime all sports activity was forbidden as it was considered ungodly. Nor could men wear those shorts footballers wear!

Even Television and music was banned and classified as illegal. On the radio you could only listen to Namaz or some propoganda or goverment annoucement.

Women weren't allowed any education. They were forbidden to take even Medical treatment. They obviously couldn't work . So women that lost all male family members were supposed to starve and die as well as they weren't permited to leave the house without a maharam( male family member)

In schools boys were only taught the Holy Quran and nothing else- no sciences, literature , math etc.

Boys were arrested, beaten up sometimes killed if they did not grow a beard and a mustache.

Any one could be arrested if found in possesion with literature, music, films .

Photography was termed as illegal and every citizen was ordered to burn every single photograph. Random inspections were done to look for these things.

One thing i want to add is India has good relations with Afghanistan and the Afghani people hate the Talibani's far more than we can even understand. They were oppressed and their life was terrible under the rule of this group. They never supported that goverment and still hate it.

I recall reading a book about a young girl and her mother who started a school secretly from her house and tried to teach girls as well as provide some basic medical treatment to the girls. She was at the risk of get be- headed for breaking the Talibani rules. This book was published post Talibani rule. It gives you a clear picture of how frightening this whole Talibani period was.

You are right Aparna Indians 2500 of them are carrying out humanitarian and reconstruction work for the betterment of the larger population of Afghansitan so why target them?
suryanrayanan was a telecom engineer, before the indian government could start talk he was beheaded by the Taliban.
Taliban are regrouping again. Besides the book there have been televsion documentaries made by foreign journalists even Afghanis who escaped from the clutches of the Taliban.
And Aparnan they are against women getting educated, despite the autocratic rule of the communists prior to the Taliban women were educated and commanded position of importance in the govt,but now they cannot study.
