How is the so-called chemistry between Ayushman and Rashmika? (I'm a bit doubtful about that.)
Just saw the movie.Thamma is an entertaining watch. Its a decent addition to the Maddock Horror Cinematic Universe with several engrossing moments that keep you hooked. The story is pretty unique and the concept feels fascinating.
The film takes off in 230 BC with an interesting twist .The connection between Human world and Betaal is perfectly established. The entire part where Ayushman is attacked by a wolf sends a chill down the spine .The romance that blossoms at this point is quite well done too .There is an undercurrent of humor throughout which brings a smile on your face!
In fact the first half is a roller coaster ride in terms of entertainment. You are so entertaied that entire first hour passes in a blink .However the best is reserved for the interval when the unexpected accident throws you off the carpet!
The second half is engaging too but the pace keeps dropping and picking up .The entire clash with Bhediya is very entertaining and special effects are quite good .The climax is satisfying but could have been executed better!
Ayushman is quite good here. His comic timing is spot on and shines in several scenes.Rashmika is drop dead gorgeous and has a meaty role.Paresh Rawal brings the house down .Nawazzudin is hardly there.
Overall an entertaining watch!
3/5
So I watched the movie, it was a fun watch if you are a fan of this genre..I was thoroughly entertained by Stree 2, Roohi, Bhedia and this too dint disappoint..donot expect a stree and you ll be fine. I wasn’t in splits watching the movie nor was I scared a bit but still overall it clicked for me..the dialogues were cleverly written and I dint have loud laughs but certainly a smile on my face..Paresh Rawal, Nawazuddin were great in their role ..Ayushman was good too..he is underrated as an actor and this isn’t fair to him that his hits are attributed just to luck than his talent…Only roadblock was Rashmika..I don’t get why is she getting movies after movies? She looked pretty but her overall lack of expression, bad delivery and bad screenplay ruined it for me..initially her confused expressions worked as she is introduced to a human and human world but then gradually that was her only expression,.Please get Tamanna or someone else and spare us from this disaster. Music wasn’t that great but good news is it dint hamper flow of movie.
3.25/5 for me
I feel that I've encountered a cine-lover like me
I've no problem to watch two films in a row in a theatre (which now is easier with the Cineplexes).
Fine that this movie entertained you far better than the other. How was the interaction of Ayushman and Rashmika?
Thanks for the review
Already getting insightful member reviews this early is a pleasure
And this is only her 2nd outing , if she scores, she is in running for top heroine
age is going to play a factor too
According to Sachnilk Day 1 for Thamma is 24 crores(all languages)
Before anyone says it's Ayushmann's film -- none of his films in the last 5 years even crossed 3-4 crores on opening day. Wish Samantha did the...
