I know but it's still a bit frustrating. Idk why I'm reading so slow these days 😪 I need a good book to get me in form. AoGG seems to be doing its bit, but I probably need to get back to my fics to get my mojo back

Hopefully I'll pick up pace before the month ends 👀

I actually like Harry with Ginny... even though I don't really read HP FFs for shipping... so that's not a make or break deal for me. But Hermione paired with Voldemort is a bit too out there I can barely digest her with Draco (have read a couple of Dramione ones but not really a fan)... so yeah... seems like I'll be staying away from that fandom for the foreseeable future .

Lizzy and others in my group have suggested a Dramione fic though.... so I might give it a try... who knows

In a fanfiction that I read, the author has Snape saying how Harry, Hermione and Ron were sacrificial lambs for Dumbledore. He knew everything but never told the kids and let the kids fight the evil guy without any proper assistance which my friends and my sister who have read HP series and watched every movie and still continue to watch other people reacting to the movies agree with.

Also, even though my HP knowledge is limited, my friends and sister are enough to fill me

Ron seems like a childish, jealous, and insecure character who is sometimes disrespectful as well. Ginny's behavior isn't much appealing either, in fact, she comes off as a bully sometimes, and Ginny-Harry felt forced

I used to read these fics in the PJO fandom, they were light and fun but I haven't tried them in any other fandom. I didn't even know these fics are still written, I thought they faded out like the 5+1 format of fics 😅

I haven't read much HP ff tbh, only the occasional marauder fic. MCU mein I mostly stick to Irondad or Lokius. And I used to love the "Avengers staying together in the Tower and chilling" sort of fics we used to get in the 2012 Avengers era, I miss them sm ab to MCU is saturated with Stucky content... followed by all the various Tony ships

Not an MCU fan

These ffs are like all the characters of the movie/show gathered together and watching the said movie/show. For example - a mystical entity gathers all the characters from the "How to Train Your Dragon" movie-verse from a few months before the movie timeline and have them watch the movies, as in what is gonna happen in the future, as in the characters watching themselves in the movie

Yeah, reading thrillers was my original plan too but then my mood shifted and I don't feel like reading thrillers rn (the curse of being a mood reader )

Rn I need the romance genre to help me out. I need something that is long drawn out angst or pining/temporarily unrequited love. Either that or spice. Or a quick romcom will also do I think.

That's a large net I've spread out but still nothing is hitting the mark 😭 that's why I think turning to my favourite fics might be the best option for now, at least I know which ones I can depend on 😌❤️

Now all I need to do is sort through my long list of bookmarks

But my all time fav writers in this fandom are memoriaeterna (for mind-boggling time-travel fix-it plots) and Bergen (for all kinds of AUs. Her plots are really novel too... not to forget the characterizations and banter... everything is on point.). There are many other writers... like stillctrsara, happyaspie, inkinmyheartandonthepage ("We forgot Peter" series in particular), etc that I like.

Baaki toh... I just check the synopsis of stories under Peter Parker tag on AO3... Team as family, Field trip to Stark / Avengers tower, Avengers unaware of Spider-man's identity and trying to catch him, Soulmates AU... these are some of my fav tropes (among many others) and I read fics along these lines randomly...depending on the time I've on hand and my mood .

I read your summaries and didn't want anything from your current reads, that's why I was asking for more recs from your past faves I will definitely check out the writers you mentioned, esp memoriaeterna bcz I love canon div fix-its (God only knows how many of them I gobbled after watching Endgame )

Mostly I love fics where Pete is still a capable Spidey and does his stints on his own (as per his character) but Tony being Tony still keeps tabs and steps in when he needs to. Like their relationship in the MCU was so beautiful and so full of love and respect 😭 I love fics that preserve that essence for them, but sadly I get very few like that in so many of them it's just Tony mollycoddling him and Peter behaving like a helpless defenceless kid or else they turn May into some kind of villain/negligent/abusive towards Peter to turn Tony into the parent. Like bruh, that woman literally raised him up, you can't just vilify her like that

I like when they spend time together as regular humans at the Tower, and when Peter gets to tinker around in Tony's lab and Tony realises just how smart Peter is, and also just keeps getting fonder and fonder of this kid and I love when Pepper is involved one bcz she makes the Ironfam complete and two bcz without her calming presence and steady handle on things, I fear these two could set anything on fire

I also don't like it sm when Peter calls Tony dad, I prefer it when he calls him Mr Stark or Tony. In my eyes it's part of what keeps their bond special
