And yes, male ego is about demeaning woman which is what RR is doing verbally. Teju is constantly being judged for the choices she didn’t make. It's okay if he didn't want to marry her right away but it doesn't mean that she should wait for him forever like he expects.

Actually Ritu has rights to carry angst not this negative though, as mentioned he thinks she just played with him and got doctor toh grabbed opportunity....In S1 Virat very first day said to Pakhi ki you are max my friend/ family nothing else...it was just ki in emotions he gave promise to never move on which wasn't possible....warna rishta shaadi se khatam ho gaya tha....whereas I think Ritu was still in hopes even after that insult lekin use apni lover ka directly marriage faceoff karna pada that too with his shy bro....

It's his general ego along with feelings for her....male ego tab hota if he would have rejected her baselessly and then taunts deta after he is about to be engaged to someone else.....I am allowed for anything because of Y chromosome....

Ye gender based terms main bahut soch samajh ke use karta hoon I don't call such woman feminist who say ladki pe haath nhi uthate and same time make fun of mental health of guys....

I agree grey works when it's about leads not parallel one...

I probably disagree with those comparisons. Rutu is definitely a player but based on what I have read about Patralekha and know about the premise of S1 (since I haven't seen it) she was also an egoistic person and couldn't take rejection. That's probably the reason she became obsessive over time, although gradually and not as fast as Rutu. In fact, now that I think about it, Rutu has not yet become totally obsessive. He is furious because of the refusal and wants to avenge and hurt Tejaswini, wanting to make her feel guilty about her (unwilling) choice. He will get obsessed about the lead couple in the process as he sees them come closer.

Patralekha married Virat's brother, Samrat (is that his name?) fully aware what she is getting into. She probably wanted to make Virat jealous and keep him pining for her but failed miserably.

Anyway, I would stick to this season and refrain from making comparisons as much as possible.

I was just comparing the start yes Pakhi was very toxic....but she started stuffs after a time....and there are differences she was in hope as Sai Virat's marriage was a deal and he promised to never move on over that Samrat ghar chhorke chala gaya tha.....

Whereas here Ritu can be understood a bit as well because he thinks Teju is opportunist and hurt his feelings/ ego whatever....but main point is he is player....

PL married Samrat because of Virat she wanted to call off wedding but he denied considering his brother likes her and then other stuffs....she wasn't negative from first day like this guy is made upto....

She actually tried to make Virat jealous after more than an year when Samrat came back because he rejected her proposal....before that no such drama....

I like discussions and as it was legacy season toh kick milti hai but if you want to avoid such that's ok...maine bas male Pakhi suna toh likh diya....

Watched yesterday's and today's episode together.

Yesterday: It was funny watching Neil behave like a typical FL and say things like "agni ko saakshi maan ke saat phere liye, mangalsutra pehnake, maang mein sindhoor bharke".

But it is wholesome watching Neil taki,....,ng a stand now. This scene depicts how he may be helpless regarding himself but would not hesitate to take a stand for his wife and will most probably take Tejaswini's side all the time, not remaining like furniture in the background when our beloved kalesh happens. Also, he seems to be giving it back to Rutu while saying these lines ("mujhe teri permission nahi chahiye"), so after learning Teju and Rutu's past, he will not only not like it and feel possessiveness towards his wife, but also perhaps be a strong opponent or should I say, contender to Rutu. He is not all that bechara, you know.

Leena's behaviour was so crass. She threw the veneration plate and kicked that kalash away! And what was that banging-the-plate-with-the-ladle?! Such madness! Rutu was being the perfect villain with those death stares to the newlyweds, insults, breaking of decorations and throwing plates (Leena ke maayke mein zaroor plate phekne ki pratha hogi ). Also his monologue reeks jealousy and superiority complex, as we had guessed before. Banda pagal ho raha hai and that Leena lady behaves like a witch from those fairy tales who get banished from the kingdom and rejected, taking revenge from every other person they meet. I hated how both of them started questioning Tejaswini's character. Laxmi seems a saint in front of this, although we had Teju being a washing machine and masala grinder for the Chavans sometime ago.

The scene between Neil and Tejaswini was beautifully enacted. There was awkwardness as Neil adjusted his accessories and Tejaswini tried to look away. The emotion of finally being close to each other as spouses was palpable, could be felt. I liked it the most :) Also, the Pradhan family as a whole is behaving so nicely with Teju. They are respectful to her and don't seem problematic as her in-laws till now. So Leena and Rutu are the only abominations in Pradhan Niwas.

Today: Today's episode highlight was Rutu's expressions and body language. He surely is a classy villain per say with continuously throwing shade and giving side-eyes.

The scene where Juhi comes back home seemed so cinematic, just like horror movies. Payal ki awaaz and Satish's frightening eyes! And Satish is a monster - the way he manhandled Juhi was scary and cruel. Deepali isn't even asking him to at least stop hitting her. Laxmi defending Teju, I didn't expect such gratitude from her. And I ask Mukta, where was this hidden courage when you were being treated as a doormat and your daughter was being coerced into this marriage? Though I am glad she came in between Satish and poor Juhi. I feel bad for her being stuck in this polygonal/triangular mess.

Ha! Things will be interesting finally!

I would love to see if Neil becomes a competitor instead of bechara and possessive.....And even Lakshmi had called her so many wrong things ig ....Leena and Rutu are toh less and they have reasons....

Scene was really beautiful where he protected her from falling....waise ye sidhe pair kaise girte hain.....Pradhans are quite respectful Neil is lucky to have such a family....

Ritu has become villain agree lekin sach bolu though Satish was quite violent I didn't have problem with his attitude aise aapki ladki bina bataye shaadi ke din mandap se bhaag jaayegi toh kisi bhi baap ka sar sharm se jhuk jaata hai....infact atp I found ladies gang support weird even if they wanted to stop beating....advocacy kyu karna....

Leena will be calling police in the party to get Teju arrested. Both Rutu and Leena are finding new ideas to add fuel to the fire. In a way both of them have proved to be from the same bloodline as their stance of revenge and anger is "Rejection"!!!

Poor juhi, yaar, she doesn't deserve this much humiliation, she hasn't even shared this with anyone. She deserves all the love.

Juhi is a good girl and it was quite violent still practically she was wrong and Satish was understandable....

I don't know what she got just by entertaining Neil on the cost of her family and own life...
