I hope Ekta gets bored with OTT and comes back to itv. No matter how her shows were, at least her shows were entertaining, had great actors and chemistry.

Swastik is fine. Rajan shahi has clout. He is also one of the big guns if not more. Now he is on cloud 9 with his success. There have been actors who have found difficult to get jobs because of fight with RS. That guy has massive ego issues btw.

The one who brings money will get more importance. Content has sadly become secondary. Also, you are an author right. Your publisher might also have told you to do tweaks in your work for saleability purpose. (You need not answer this ). Why? Because we unfortunately have come to a position where content is overshadowed by saleability.

You are right. I guess it's all about clout and brand image. Rajan Shahi has created that space for himself. The tv industry does kind of rever him. Even star plus gives him so much attention. I don't know if he has ego or not, but he definitely knows he is important, lol and he isn't humble about that

I got your point about content. As a poetry author, I haven’t personally experienced having my content adjusted for saleability. Only been told to increase the number of poems for the book but yes i get your point.

(Am sure it happens for novels. Mere sapna hai to become novelist but pata nahi iss janam mein hoga bhi ya nhi. Trying since three years, sabhi top publishers ka email id internet se dhoondke have sent my pitch , plotline and 3 sample chapters but jawab toh chodo, nobody has even opened my mail. Have heard big publishers accept only through literary agents and since I have no contacts in the industry, unable to break in, as it's highly gatekept. Thinking of self publishing on Kindle if i don't get a book deal by next year. I m a self taught writer, am not from literature background, have done MBA and I m feeling extremely demotivated. Though my poetry book is doing decently well and is selling, but it's not enough for a living, and my aim is to become novelist. Anyways, sorry for the rant , lol)

. She likes OTT more. Minimal censorship + the kind of content she dishes there has more chances of earning. She will take a step back only if she is charged with multiple cases. There is a recent news that she and her mother has been booked under POCSO for objectionable content for Gandi Baat. Lol. 😂

yeah hence I watch naagin. illogical but leads have good chemistry. FL is strong not a cry baby. since the show is goal oriented fl hardly gets involved in saas bahu drama. they also keep humour. Naagin or any supernatural show is usullay complete package. You get romance, suspense, mystery etc in a same show.

Paneer has massive ego. Some of his stories are just obnoxious.

Anyway, to get into big publishers, you will need to have a literary agent. And big publishing houses have too many levels of criteria. Your agent will only first suggest some changes in or piece.

I guess last I heard was Alt Balaji was not doing well also. But that was like a year or 2 years ago.
