This marriage isn’t valid unless Ibrahim & Aaliya accept it. They are being forced into it. I think that’s why they are probably going to get married again which is not needed though. As soon as they accept it , it will become valid.

Shabbir can also be a witness because he is just a man now..and anyone can be witness so...

Top-notch episode. Bilal did fantastic as usual as Mohammad Ibrahaim & Sabeena & Gohar also did decent for their parts to explain the context leading up to the present "horrific" incident which Mohammad deemed it as.

Gohar as the controlling husband in the past to supposedly regretful one now makes his character totally engrossed into politics.

What happens if its the female who initiated the divorce? and got it.. what if they reconnect and want to remarry?

It would be considered a divorce, to reconnect it depends whether it was the 3rd divorce. If it’s a 3rd divorce then they can not remarry.

if it’s a first divorce they will have to remarry with a new marriage contract, with witnesses etc

Nope, it is not misunderstood. It depends on their belief. It is like who follows which school/sect. Like for ahl as-sunnah/hanafi they do consider three talaqs at one sitting as three talaqs. So, by saying talaq thrice, divorce do happen.

She is correct in that majority of the school of thought believe that the triple talaq is not permissible. It’s not part of the Quran or sunnah, but it a common practise in our south asian home.

However the scholars differed about whether it would mean it’s an irrevocable divorce. The Hanafi school of thought does believe that it’s an irrevocable divorce. Therefore she can not reconcile with husband.

I can totally see Aliyah taking the lead. She seemed quietly mad and upset that her dignity has been trampled on that she wanted to self-harm herself. She will not go back to Shabbir willingly. Ibrahim in contrast is far more submissive and scared of life and the environment in general -- we don't often see MLs like that and so it will be interesting to see how they make the lead. Hopefully he won't be frustratingly naive like some of those too good hearted to be real FLs.

During a first or second divorce, they is a Iddah period. It gives them time to reconcile if they wish. however after the iddah period it would be considered a divorce. To reconcile they would have to get married again using a marriage contract.

After 3rd divorce they is no Iddah period, which mean they are strangers to each other and can’t remarry unless through the halala process (which is not allowed to be planned)

It will be same like divorce. They can reconcile if they want but before third divorce. Once third divorce happened then they can't reconcile.
