Ishita was infertile right at the beginning (that's why Saavi was shot in the abdomen)... and Ishitas first marriage broke (even though it was love marriage) because that MIL wanted heirs.

She meets Ruhi (Ramans and PLs daughter neglected by her biological mother) and forms a bond with her. Her MIL initially skeptical grows fond of FL too... TBH that was similar to what Ash-Sai had in the beginning.

Ishita later gets pregnant but can't carry so they go for surrogate. PL by then has realized her mistake of leaving her husband and kids for her lover and genuinely helps Ishita in carrying the baby.

Some other person takes revenge on Raman and kidnaps Ishita and Ruhi(PLs biological daughter) both are presumed dead. Leap happens and PL meanwhile bonds with the surrogate child.

When Ishita comes back from dead and they find Ruhi... PL gets jealous and runs away with the surrogate child.

Not exactly... they copied ideas but gave their own nasty twists

Like PL by then had genuinely wanted to help ML FL.. not like Pakhi who wanted to be surrogate for V. P didn't really care about the unborn at few times.

If I remember correctly it is ML who asks PL to be surrogate but doesn't hide it from FL. It's totally not like the manipulation BK P did. No attack on Sai or the proposed surrogate.

Moreover PL is a valid surrogate by law... unlike P who doesnt fulfill the crietria.

Post delivery PL hands over the baby to ML FL... P stole Vinu from Sai.

The child remains in Bhalla household and PLs daughter and FL go missing. So she genuinely bonds with the surrogate child in that leap timeperiod.

ML PL don't marry even though the kid thinks them as parents. They just care for the kid together.

Only similarity is P influencing Vinu against Sai after his reveal.

The show is okay but leads had great chemistry.. PL was a worthy PL and the story had lot going on.

It faltered later as it must have dragged and dragged. They should have (ideally) ended the show about 150-200 episodes earlier.

Anyway... ML is toxic initially but has a good arc... FL has typical FL traits. Good part is ML doesn't care about PL at all. Ignores her, taunts her, doesn't bother about anything she says.

Though knowing Ghums legacy... I would not expect the same on the last bit and if they manage to keep the good bits... maybe they'll sail through.

I haven't watched YHM. The first season of Ghum was, followed by 2nd and 3rd I don't want to comment at all.

The second season was all about Savi being an orphan and was termed as illiterate or gawar.

This season it's all about Savi being a widow and can't have children. In both these seasons she's mocked. I'm done with this show.
