I might as well finish my rant. Among all those OTT performances Alia got best actress awards from Filmfare and Zee. Shefali had 2 releases, in which she overshadowed Vidya and Alia.Lets not talk about others, who didn't even get nominated.

So winning all these awards and managing all these perceptions has gotten Alia Bhatt where?

Keep beating on Varun and Janhvi. Lage raho.

Did either Alia or Varun given a clean hit since? Recover budget by theatrical release. On OTT Bawaal,Sadak 2 and Darlings were huge flops.

Regardless of the facts or stats perception wise Varun bore the entire brunt of Kalank though Alia was arguably the worst performer in that movie, infact he incurred the maximum damage post pandemic and nepotism debate, though he is being positioned to make a comeback by the industry and trade with this & BabyJohn they were literally presenting him as some big shot in the title reveal thingy

Dharma rarely goes wrong with rom-coms last flop in it was that Sid-Kat one I guess.

Long and short of it as per rumours and stuff remains that Alia refused to work with him.
