If makers are keeping Rumi relevant in story, then he must be fetching trps so how can we oppose anything that brings trps right.
Rumi does heinous acts and gets called haiwaan by the female protagonist, gets slashed with a knife and gets violently tossed around by the male protagonist. Both protagonists detest Rumi.
Seerat does some crap like offers ema and proposes or changes shirt, male protagonist hides it or he defends her intentions and claims Seerat is actually right about the female protagonist. He doesn't bash her is a different thing, he defends her actions on the face of female protagonist.
So I get why people would prefer watching Rumi who is a run of the mill itv villain who resorts to kidnapping, shooting, violence or threatening safety of loved ones to get the female lead to obey. They make it very clear she knows he is wrong, she calls him all sorts of names but is helpless.
Now do I prefer watching Rumi, I don't, the track is yawn inducing. Unless they make his Dad do something interesting like bankrupt Brars in exchange for bail, the track is boring 😴
Doesn't degrade any protagonists character or love story in any way, it shows them fighting against many odds in a superhuman way to protect each other.
Up until now going to lengths to keep the other one physically safe has been shown as their major expression of love for each other, and that is consistent in Rumis track. That might be the only salvageable part of the track.
In my humble opinion, Rumis track isn't as interesting as it should have been, matters escalated too quickly and all his cards were out and it doesn't even look like he is faking insanity to escape punishment , he really seems insane, hoping his Dad makes a more interesting villain (if at all he is one).
However, everything is trps so if Rumi is still present in show we must agree he fetches trps and how can I dislike something that brings trps.
