Noticed how Deepika is billed before Prabhas. His fans haven't outraged yet?
This is looking promising.
Also, Prabhas is surely a one hit wonder outside Telugu. He's lucky if he gets work outside his industry.
I don't really like the 'cinematic liberty and interpretation' that Indian films are taking with Hinduism. They are not superhero films for anybody to 'interpret' neither are they mythology or epics as some people derogatively refer to it, maybe some do it unknowingly while for some it is intentional.
It is a good thing that movies like Brahmastra and Adipurush flopped indicating people have completely rejected such cinematic liberty and interpretation nonsense.
If you want to make a sci-fi film, go ahead and do it, just make it a purely sc-fi film don't try to root it in Hinduism, and if you want to root it in Hinduism may be refer to concepts and not to Bhagwan and Avatars.
There are many Indian sci-fi writers like Dr. Jayant Naralikar, Satyajit Ray, Bal Phondke and others who have written Indian Sci-fi stories, film makers can source their material from these stories for Sci-fi films.

What's wrong with it?
They're our desi stories after all.
Brahmastra was done smartly and opened up ideas. Whether one likes it or not is a different topic, it opened discussion about part 2, who is dev and who is Amrita. All is awaited.
Adipursh failed cos it was made badly, bad VFX dialogues etc.
I think project k looks promising and smart not childish.
