I'm talking about the box office 😄
Lack of directors who can make good massy movies. The best Bollywood has to offer is Rohit Shetty whose best work in masala genre are also remake of South films.

Bollywood is nothing now in front of south lol they should run for their life cuz south is still coming up with so many big movies and yahan kiya hy just Brahmāstra wo bhi phuski nikla tou😆
Because they are different. 😆😆
And they believe in aping the west.
South movies when JA released weren't making this much money.
Now South movies are making pan India films, which is why they are able to make movies on a big scale with huge budgets.
When Bollywood also starts catering to South market properly, they will also strike gold at the box office.
They are planning to release Brahmastra as a pan India film. Let's see what that does.

Yes Brahmastra is also supposed to be an epic and multiple parter like Bahubali and KGF. But it's in making even before Bahubali released. Bollywood just ain't disciplined enough to make such films.
Bollywood k pas bas do teen topic hain
Ik UP setting and story of a local area
English main galiya
Chuma chati
Esko leko thora sa story dal k movie tiyar.
Baahubali has the kind of story that whole of India could connect with. The emphasis was on storyline and characters.GGI vfx were used only to enhance the narration. They didn't get carried away by the graphics part.
Pushpa is again a story which is rooted in rural India and also a story of an individual who is from oppressed community though it's set in Andhra Pradesh forest area people could connect with the character, his life and his story.
Same thing goes to KGF.Story set in Kolar Gold mines.
Bottom line is the stories and characters were the driving force behind these movies more than the budget and extravagant production values.
Dangal was also a big pan India hit for the same reason.
KJo etc big ticket producers should hire good writers.
Lack of "talent" in every aspect of film-making.
